2 things.

1. The Yankees worked a 25 pitch bottom of the first..... I love it.

2. I despise the Giambi shift.... But I dont know who I hate more, the other team for taking what seems to be a basehit away from this guy at least once a game, or Giambi for not figuring out that if he could just go the other way every now and then he would be back to hitting .320....

They tried that in 05. It didn't help Giambi. He almost got sent down to the minors until he and mattingly decided he should try to pull the crap out of everything. When he did that he went on a tear.

Why would he do exactly what the opposing team wants him to do by getting away from his game? Who cares if he hits .300 if his OBP and SLG go to crap because he is trying to go the other way and pitchers don't fear(walk) him anymore?

Dropping a bunt down there for an easy hit every once in a while when you are struggling is one thing, but he can't just change his swing and stop doing what makes him one of the more productive hitters in baseball.

Why did Rasner only pitch 4.1 innings?

By the way his era is now 3.83. Pavano is on the DL with an era in the high 4s.

I'm just saying :peace:

He struggled against the top of the order and that's what was up with a man on, so they "yanked" him.
