The Dark Side Posts: 33,026 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: January 29, 2004	Due to the fact that we have lost so many posters over the last year, mostly Mets fans, we have decided that this place needs a new start. We have decided to change our name, we will ne longer be known as Big Apple Sports. We also will not be a all New York sports board, we are going to focus on the Yankees. I know it sucks for the Mets fans that have hung around and stayed with us, but there are only about 2 of you left. You are welcome to stay, of course. But you will probably be happier posting with more Mets fans. No posts will be lost, but they will be compressed. For example, Giants, Jets, and NFL Forums will all be combined. Same with hockey and basketball. As it stands, this place is too big with not enough members who post. It's like 2 people living in a mansion with 13 bedrooms, it makes no sense. We need to compress everything so this place seems less like a ghost town. We also need to go out and recruit more Yankee fans. The staff will deal with recruiting more members, but if you know any Yankee fans, tell them about us. I can't say how sorry we are to the few Mets fans that have stayed along with us. I feel really bad for you guys who continue to post news about your team. But face it, the only people reading what you posts are Yankee fans! BAS had a great ride for 3 years, but a lot of us have just flat out stopped being on the computer all the time. I come on when I can, and a lot of others do too. It's just strange how we all started coming less and less all at the same time. There was a time about a month ago when there was like 1 or 2 new posts a day! This place was totally dead. At least now the Yankee forum is starting to come back to life, which is why we decided to focus on that. Sorry again to the few Mets fans that have stuck around.

Posts: 4,148 Group: Members Member #110 Joined: May 10, 2004	Great idea Rob.... :clap: Being one of the guys that has alot less time for the computer it's tough to complain, but this place really has become a ghost town...I totally support the change, and I think the skin and format looks great... Lets hope we can continue to stick together as a core group of posters in the Yankee Zone just like we have for a few years with BAS... :peace:

So we will give a long leash but just don't attack other posters or act stupid, you will be all good my son. Follow the light of the VC, we are looking for another enforcer! :furious2:
