I dont know much about Lorenzen or Hasselback except Lorenzen is a fat bastard, and I dont know who we can bring into camp next year, I know I dont wanna take a flyer on a #20 pick in the draft with a QB, but I think that the QB position on the NY Giants needs to be wide open next year.

If somebody, anybody, can prove they will be better running this offense than Eli, give the fecker the job..

I dont give a sh*t if it's Vinnie Testaverde....

Eli doesnt get this job anymore just cause Accorsi trade his wife and house and a Super Bowl to get him...

He needs to earn this sh*t.... Fact is, so far he has not done that with any consistancy at all...

We need to consider cutting our losses.

Hasselbeck is pure crap. I don't know how he's got a spot on an NFL roster. Weak, inaccurate arm. He's a little bit mobile. Not a scrambler, but he can run for 5 yards if you give him some room. That's it.

Lorenzen has some raw talent. He's the size of some DTs, has a cannon arm and he can actually run a little. He's the most mobile QB on the team. His problems are that: (1) He's out of shape and coming out of college, they said that one of his flaws was that he'd get out of breath on long drives. (2) Coughlin keeps telling him to lose weight and every time I see him, he looks heavier. (3) His accuracy is awful. It's actually worse than Eli's. And he doesn't know how to put touch on the ball. He throws a bullet for everything. (4) He's got a delivery like Hideo Nomo. You watch him wind up and he takes forever. He actually does a leg kick before he plants and throws. It's not just that it allows defenders an extra second to get to him, but even when he's got a clean pocket, it gives the DBs enough time to react. With the league the way it is now, with corners being that athletic and offenses using a lot of timing plays, he might have a guy open on a route, but by the time he releases it, the receiver's covered. A 3-step drop for him takes 5 seconds.

Unless he's able to fix that - and I don't know if he can - then I don't think he'll ever get anything done in the NFL. But the Giants keep him around because Coughlin likes him personally and they've probably got a boner for his arm strength.

The Giants aren't gonna take a QB, but it is a deep QB draft. I think it's possilbe that a good one could drop to them at #20. Depending on how things break and how it goes at the Combine, I think Troy Smith could fall to them. But a bunch of the teams picking ahead could opt to go QB. If there's a run on them, the Giants would be better off using a 2nd or 3rd rounder on someone like Drew Stanton or Chris Leak.

#1 - I'm hearing the Raiders like JaMarcus Russell.

#2 - If the Raiders don't take him, the Lions will take Quinn. If for no other reason, but it gets people off Matt Millen's back for a while and it buys him an extra 2-3 years on the job because the organization would have to wait to see if Quinn develops before Millen could be held responsible.

#3 - The Browns want a QB and Quinn has said that he'd like to play for his hometown team. If they can't get him, I think they go for Brian Brohm. If they decide that it's too high to take him, they might go offensive line and look for a QB in round 2, or trade down.

#4 - The Bucs need a QB, but they gave Simms an extension and Gruden likes Gradkowski. They probably won't take one high.

#7 - The Vikings reached on Tarvaris Jackson last year. Maybe they think he can get it done for them.

#8 - Do the Texans go for a QB or keep trying to build around Carr?

#9 - They've got Culpepper coming back and he's got a big contract so I doubt they take one high.

#14 - Do the Panthers ignore some of their other holes and take someone to groom behind Delhomme?

#15 - Seems like the Packers have given up on Aaron Rodgers. Shouldn't have believed in him in the first place. But do they think of the future or do they appease Favre and use the pick on a DB or OT?

#16 - The Jags have Garrard and Leftwich, but they could quit on both of them and go after a QB.
