Mm. Romo was like 5 inches for of the first down on that run, too. That's a heartbreaker. |

My thoughts, I am aggravated more than upset, b/c we did get beat IN Dallas last week by the 3-13 Detroit Lions , so IMO tonite was a toss up ,b/c Seattle blows IMO...and if we won we won , but we lost 3 of 4 , in classic Parcellian chokejob fashion. I felt bad for Romo, until I remembered he's banging Carrie Underwood and he makes more than I ever will. However, that was a tuff way to lose for that kid, who in 11 Games did more than Eli MAnning has in his whole waste of a career - Dallas was only in the playoffs b/c OF Romo ... When knocking or praising or judging Romo, you must remember , he's only played 11 Games of NFL Football and he's a Pro Bowler...It took Aikman 3 Seasons just to play a full season in Dallas b/c of injuries, Phil Simms was nearly booed outta town b/c he was terrible...I like Romo and I think he's my guy down the road. Some could say this was what he needed to keep his head grounded ... IMO Parcells lost this game early on , very early in two ways, 1) Seattle was playing a secondary of guys off the street , their 3 2ndary players were all hurt and out, including Trufant. YOU THROW THE f*ckING BALL DEEP, AND YOU THROW IT EARLY AND OFTEN. 2) Parcells made it 20-13 b/c he ran a give up Dive to Barber on 3 and -1 - took the FG and gave Seattle life. Gutless. IMO the Officiating was disgusting, 12 Penalties v Dallas 2 v Seattle..and an overturn on ther Witten possible first down. TO was gutless and is afraid to get hit over the middle. I think he's gone. I'd like Parcells to go but He's staying if HE wants. Roy Williams is the worst cover safety in the NFL - just terrible, got beat twice deep by the TE . BUT all that said, in the end, all Tony had to do was hold that mysterious all of a sudden shiney Football .... Another brutal loss in the Parcells era...his teams have been good enough...just to break your heart. |

One thing Madden & Michaels and everyone seems to have missed on the Romo bobble-run-tackle is that he came within inches of the 1st down. They talk about him not reaching the end zone, but more important than that was the yellow line. He JUST got tackled shy of it. Had he gotten tackled 1/100th of a second later, it would've been perfect for the Cowboys. They'd have had 1st down inside the 2, which would've forced Seattle to use its last timeout. That's a kneel down on 1st, which runs the clock down to 41 seconds. Kneel down on 2nd and call timeout around 10 seconds. Kick the field goal on 3rd down, just in case. They were just INCHES away from the perfect last-second scenario. WOOOOO! I think the overrule of the spot was accurate. That dumbass ref moved the sh*t up a good foot on the initial spot. The ball was short of the marker. It would've been the nuts-like-grapefruits move, but I thought Parcells should've gone for it on 4th down. A QB sneak picks up the first down and let's them run the clock down more (like I described in the last paragraph) and then kick it. |

Agreed on all counts. The original spot on Witten's catch was ludicrous! He never got to the 1 yard line, the linesman marked him inside the 1. That was clear as day. Good overturn. |
