First of all, whats up hows it goin? Seeing as I fully expect the season to end on Sunday I got lots of things to go through before anger and frustartion clouds my judgment. Theres about a million reasons im not rolling with the Eli Manning lynch party. Before the most important pass blocker, False Start 77, broke his leg and his most consistent target tore his knee Manning was 160/261 (61%) for 1851 yards 14 TD's 8 INT's. Through 9 games Ill take that and be very satisfied. In my opinion (and im sure its the minority) the pressure and offensive scheme is what has led to his inconsistency and increased inaccuracy and poor footwork. Combine that with the fcat that Tim Carter has the largest vagina in the lockeroom, cant catch a ball, wont go over the middle, we drafted Moss for no reason, face facts Tyree is a 4th WR. I dont understand why everyone expects him to preform miracles. Speaking of that offensive scheme, Jeremy Shockey 66 catches for 623 yards. translation, what the f*ck is with all the whip routes? Thats less than 10 yards a catch. What happened to the days when we flexed this guy out and let im split the seam? Oh how I long for the Jim Fassel era. (I kid I kid) You can get that production out of a guy like Anthony Fasano or Chris Cooley, but this is just ridiculous. I dont think we can rely on Amani Toomer next year. He has spent a career using body positioning and route running to get open. Fact is you cant pivot as quickly or as strongly on one good knee. His best days are behind him. They should consider cutting him and replacing him. On a similar subject, with Tiki gone (too bad he does have 3 or 4 years left) theyre gonna need a two back system because Brandon Jacobs fumblitis and running style will wear him down after 300 carries. Btw, do they realize when they put him in in spread formations that we all know that means pass? Old man Whitfield and undersized guards have led to problems in pass protection but pick your poison theyve done well (Diehl and Snee) run blocking so I cant complain. Wow was Tim Lewis overated. I guess it helps to have Joey Porter, Casey Hampton, Larry Foote, Aaron Smith, and the other LB I cant remember (Glover?) Secondary was the problem during those 5-11 seasons in Pitt and its the problem now because of his scheme. And it effects everyone. Madison and McQuarters are pure cover corners first of all, it does no good to put them in zone, especially when teams spread the field. He needs to have more faith in Dockery (whos been impressive at times) and Webster (whos confidence is shot) These four and five man rushes with no A gap pressure (our Dt's dont clog the middle) accomplish very little. Its killed Pierce because he cant run to the ball. He has to hold contain all day because Short and Emmons cant be trusted to finish a play out in space. When hes holding the cutback lane so they pick up five instead of fifteen, what are you gonna do? Cofield and Robbins get no push, Joseph is useless. Kiwanuka is too raw to start. Its just awful. The coverage schemes also take away Wilsons ballhawking skills cause he has to hold the middle because Demps has no open field speed. Its just atrocious. A top ten defense was killed by a piss poor scheme. It almost a good thing Strahan got hurt because his all around skill could cover up most of the weaknesses. Coaches. Ugh. Tim Lewis should be gone regarldess. We just got a new OC. If I ws the owner, two wins would save Coughlins job. As a fan, I hope no less than one win is neccessary. He's the coach for this team. Theyre veterans and they could give a sh*t about his temper tantrums. Hi schemes are too old school, and he doesnt adjust On a side note, the game has passed Accorsi by, we need a GM from outside the orginization. Nowadays teams draft football players and not athletes like Tim Carter, Gerris Wilkinson or Ron Dixon....im gonna stop there. Nowadays succesful NFl coaches are composed and unphased and that breeds discipline, not emotional overreactions like yelling at your kid for not mowing the f*ckin lawn. (Belichek, Reid, Dungy, Billick, Mangini etc....) Get with the times. Guys id hope could replace Coughlin Jim Tressel- Even tempered players coach that lives for the big game. Definatley a long shot, but sh*t when was the last time OSU had a bad defense. Cam Cameron- for the simple fact that his San Diego personnel fits the personnel our offense has. Maybe we can use that TE we just signed to an extension the right way. Bill Parcells- Getting older, but if you wanna get a young QB on track and hold people accountable without the bickering hes the guy. Player have always and will always respect him. Bob Stoops- Maybe now he'll leave OU since theyre on a down turn. More fiery than other three but only because hes a younger guy that wants to win. Always got more out of his defense than the talent he had to work with. Thats it |

I missed you, daddy. Get off Eli's dick.
James Farrior and Haggans. And Jason Gildon a few years ago. f*ck Parcells. I don't want a "motivator" coach. I want my mother f*cking strategist. It's about time this team got one. Gerris Wilkinson is one of them "football players," more so than he is an athlete. You're the one who put me onto DeMeco Ryans. Wilkinson, on film at GT, looked a lot like him. I like Stoops (not that I'd want him to coach the Giants) just because he'd run the score up on teams when OU had offensive talent. The score was 77-0 and he'd still be chucking it with Jason White. "Other team, suck my dick!" And that's the mentality I like.
I agree about the zone schemes. I said it last year. The best defensive performances (that 6-game stretch around mid-season) came when Allen was allowed to play man and press. But since the d-line doesn't get all that much pressure consistently - f*ck what Strahan and Osi's numbers were - and the blitzes NEVER work, he thinks he's gotta put the secondary in zone. And that NEVER works. And the organization f*cked up in the off-season. They sign has-been Sam and never-been Willie and think that's supposed to fix things. His confidence should be shot. Cuz he sucks, and he's ******. Madison hasn't been a good cover man since 2002. Did you see Dontè Stallworth pissing in his mouth? Then he hurt the hamstring and turned into 2001 Dave Thomas. |

Gildon not Glover, good call. Webster isnt a zone corner, that th problem. He's a bump and run guy. He was alright early in the year and Coughlin tore him to shreds for making a rookie mistake trying to jump Grossmans out route on 3rd and long. Since that game he was getting torched. Come to think of it I should be GM, we'd have Ryans and Frank Gore. As far as Manning goes, make Antonio Gates a possesion TE, give Tomlinson the ball 15 times a game, take a pipe to Keenan McCardell's knee, jump Shane Olivea and tell me how good Phillip Rivers is. QB's take longer than anyone else to develop and he was doing well up untill the injuries |

Coughlin will stay simply because there are no "HOT" assistants or coordinators out there. I'm not happy with it, but with this bunch of egomaniacs I don't think its fair to bring a young talent in to coach. Let them fully flush this coach and themselves down the toilet next season, then start over from scratch! |
