I still cant get over Tiki last night...

I know the Skins are not the best team in the league, but Tiki has played a lot of bad teams over the last decade and you dont get the team rushing record in everyone of them....

To pull that sh*t off in his final regular season game is amazing...

The fact is that the Giants were GOING TO LOSE THAT GAME if Tiki doesnt snap off that 50 yarder with 6 minutes to go....No doubt at all about that...That run was stunning, and shocked the Skins, and took any hope away of winning that game...It was a play that saved the Giants season...

What a perfromance...I will never forget that...

I will take it one step further...

Tiki Barber just ran himself into The Hall Of Fame....Anybody who was on the fence about this guy will only be able to remember what this guy did in that game, with the season on the line, to put the team on his back, set the team rushing record, and single handedly change the shitfall of his team and carry them into the playoffs...In maybe the last game of his life....

Along with 10000 rushing, and 5000 receiving, he has taken away all doubters with one brilliant performance, when his team needed him most, with his athletic life ticking away....No doubt Tiki saved the best for last.

I disagree. That one game doesn't propel him into the Hall of Fame. It wasn't a playoff game. It wasn't against a quality opponent. After the Giants lose in the first round, no one aside from Giants fans will remember that game.

Now, if Barber single-handedly wins playoff games like he did yesterday's game, then we can talk.

I wouldn't care if Tiki totaled 1,000 rushing yards in the playoffs and carried them to a Super Bowl victory. He isn't a Hall of Famer in my book. And he's my favorite player.

Let me start by saying I did not think Tiki was a HOFer before this season...But now I disagree wit both you guys.....One of 3 players with 10,000 + 5,000....4 seasons of 2,000 + total yards from scrimmage, another very short list in the games history....Top 20 in rushing all-time ( #17)....For a guy who wasnt even supposed to be an every down back....Ending with 3 straight 1,500+ yard seasons.....5 straight 1,000 yard seasons....Over 17,000 all purpose yards.....Going out with a game like yesterday will only put those stats in a more positive light...Breaking a bunch of Jim Brown records for guys in a final season wont hurt him either...I think you will see a few years down the road how many people reference that game when he is preparing his speech for Canton.

I also think the fact that he was a 3rd down back early will help him out eventually...Not many guys come into this league as a 3rd down / scat back / specialist kinda player and turn themselves into a dominant everydown back that puts up elite numbers....People will recanize that, the work that went into that....

He's going in....Get used to it.

I don't understand why you wouldn't put him in..lack of TDs is all I can think of, honestly.

Why not Strider? What did he have to do to prove himself worthy in your eyes that he hasn't already done? His numbers speak for themselves, and on pretty mediocre teams at that!

Wasn't good for long enough. Six 1,000 yard seasons, especially in today's game isn't enough. Great player, couple of years where he was one of the top 5 in the game, but not a Hall of Famer in my opinion.

I think the Hall of Fame should be exclusive. Nothing but the elitest of the elite. By my standards, a lot of people in there, including some of the so-called legends, wouldn't be. If I had my way, O.J. Simpson wouldn't be in. The murder - if he did it - having nothing to do with that. Marcus Allen wouldn't be in. Gale Sayers damn sure wouldn't be in.

Tiki was only a top 5 running back for two or three seasons. And even in his best years, though it wasn't his fault, he wasn't a touchdown machine. You can bring up the 10,000 + 5,000 club with Marshall Faulk and Marcus Allen. But both those guys scored more than twice as many TDs than Tiki.

He's kind of in that Bernie Williams category. Very good career and an argument could be made, but his prime didn't last long enough, nor was he the best at his position during that short period.

I ride his dick, and with him on it, I might starting watching 20/20, but he wouldn't get a vote from me. I hope he gets in, and with a precedent set by some of the people in there, he probably should, but I don't think he'd deserve it.
