That's what you were thinking about 2 minutes after your team lost?

I'm not here to rub it in, I wasn't rooting against the Mets by any stretch, but that's ridiculous.

Yes, that's what I'm f*cking thinking about. What the f*ck else is there to think about?

How Heilman blew it? How Beltran didn't swing his f*cking bat? No, because thinking about those things will only make me create a destruction site out of my bedroom.

Think about next season. The bad news is Glavine is a year older. Same with Duque if he comes back. Who knows about Pedro, but the Mets will win the NL East again.

The good news is you still have a good offense and will be back next season.

Plus Maine and Perez stepped up and pitched well in big spots for them. So you can look forward to those two young cats as well and see if they can keep it going into next year.

Very good year for the Mets, tough way to end it, but good year none the less.

Anything less than a WS appearance is a disappointment.

:peace: No doubt, I didn't watch a second of the A's/Tigers series, I couldn't. I won't watch the World Series either. I was watching the Mets closely because my whole family except for my Pops and I are Met fans. Tough break for them.

I don't usually agree with you, but you're right on this. I can see the Tigers ripping this team apart, though I do hope the Cards make this WS competitive since the last two have just sucked ass.

Both Perez and Maine made great strides under Peterson. A few years back Perez was one of the future stars but he suffers from head up his ass problems. Both Maine and Perez have great stuff and should be part of the rotation next year. They also have Pelfrey and Humber who can be studs for them. They should also sign Zito (Yankees will end up with that Japanese kid) who will probably be great in the Sally League They also have some big time outfield prospects a couple of years away.

Both the Yankees and Mets showed that having outstanding lineups guarantees you nothing in the playoffs and can be shut down.

BTW it was reported the Tigers were rooting for the Cardinals to win since the Mets were the only NL team with an AL lineup that they were concerned about. I see Detroit totally shutting down St. Louis. 4 game sweep?
