Does it help the Cardinals or not? Will LaRussa change his rotation? Will Willie change his rotation?

Mets can't do anything. All they can do is pitch Glavine on 3 days rest for game 5. Either that or they can pitch Darren Oliver for game 5. Keep in mind, Oliver Perez is pitching game 4, so the bullpen will be needed for that game more than any other most likely.

The Cardinals can stay with Carpenter for game 3, then come back with him for game 7. Or now they have the option of pitching him in game 2, pushing Suppan back, and coming back with Carpenter on full rest for game 6.

They have a real option. Mets don't. Cardinals need options though. I hope they move Carpenter up. Whether the Mets are up 2-0 or are tied 1-1 going to St. Louis, we destroy all of their starters in that stadium. They need him in St. Louis. Either way, we either win in 5 or 6.

I don't buy that the rainout helps or hurts anyone. Everyone was saying the rainout in the ALDS would kill the Tigers, how did that work out?
