With the Phillies tailing off, we don't need to worry about the Astros or the Cards yet. Because of this we won't need to worry about our left heavy lineup as much. So our opponent will likely be the Padres or the Dodgers.

We have pretty much dominated the Padres every time we've face them so far this year, however they have a good bullpen even though I think Hoffman will choke a big game again. Their biggest hitter ironically is the former Met hero Mike Piazza, and along with Mike Cameron and Adrián González. Their starting pitching is lead by Jake Peavy who is having a terrible year and Chris Young along with fat David Wells, while they are good they don't scare me in the slightest, with a much better lineup along with a better bullpen.

Mets Record vs team: 5-2
Starting Pitching ERA: 4.12 ERA, 1st in the NL
Reliever Pitching ERA: 3.43 ERA, 2nd in the NL
BA: .263, Tied for 9th in the NL
Runs scored: 13th in the NL
HRs: 12th in the NL

The Dodgers have much better starting pitching than we do, but they are all righties and we've feasted on Penny and Maddox all year long. The Dodgers can hit and they have speed however our lineup is better. Their bullpen is lead by Saito their rookie japanese reliever but pretty much is an average bunch.

Mets Record vs team: 4-3
Starting Pitching ERA: 4.30 ERA, 4th in the NL
Reliever Pitching ERA: 4.20 ERA, 8th in the NL
BA: .276, 1st in the NL
Runs scored: 4th in the NL
HRs: 15th in the NL
