What on earth happened to them? This could be one of the all time collapses. Astros 1.5 out and Reds 2.5 out after tonight. |

They are playing sh*t baseball. And their bullpen is a joke. Edmonds just came back, ht a big HR in his first game, and they still blew the game. Looper's blown a couple of saves too. |

St. Louis needs all the help they can get from Pitt and Atlanta because they clearly can't do this on their own. Gutless effort down the stretch. |

The Reds have as good a shot as the Astros at winning it now, and if anything else it is 1986 deja vu all over again Although the ESPN nutsucking of Clemens is definitely not something I look forward to :-| |

I really think the Astros would give the Mets the biggest challenge of any of the playoff teams or possible playoff teams. The Mets have a pretty easy road to the World Series, but with a big three like Houston has, they can beat anyone in a short series. |

I agree although Pettitte and Clemens are old and are only probably good for 6 innings and bullpen or their lineup doesn't scare me in the least, but if the Cards can hold on and the Phillies can get knocked out by the Padres then the Mets have a road to the WS paved in gold :D |

Cards havent been overall team.....Lacked solid starters for years....Thing is.....NL being so weak.....Their ace might be able to get them deep.......Where in NL is an ace....?.....Cant count out any NL team.....Regardless of how poor they may....... Be overall! |

The NL is a joke, I think if the Astros slide in they could be the team to beat with Oswalt, Clemens and Pettitte. They probably have run out of time though, it's going to be tough to catch the CArds. |
