Throw in Derrek Lee and I'd do it.

We already covered this exact proposal.

No, but in the other thread I said Eyre and/or Howry would have to be thrown in too before I'd consider it. At least then it makes sense because you're actually getting value for someone who will go down as an all-time great and filling several needs.

Who would play 3rd base for the cubs? If A-Rod is traded he will be traded as a SS..

Dude has bulked up a lot in the past 3 years. That's not necessarily true. Besides, the Cubs have more to worry about than who would play third in that scenario.

He's not getting traded, period. All of this talk is meaningless.

He's got a no-trade clause, and as image-conscious as he is, do you think he'd ask for a trade or agree to waive his clause to leave the Yankees for a team that is in shambles?

He'd be buried league-wide as a quitter.

That label would follow him for the rest of his career too. He'd be known as the guy who wanted out of Texas because they couldn't win and the guy who wanted out because he couldn't handle the pressure of NY. He's here to stay and it'll be fine in the long-run.

Exactly. He's going through a slum(p). Jeta was in a worse slump last year and he's fine now. Enough of the tears by the breakfast clubbers and sunshiners (Boo-Hoo). Arod will work his way out of this and be a forse by the end of the year. :minigun:
