Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle ... Costanza?!

Two of the guys you listed are Columbus Clippers. Maybe you can add Ben Davis and Carlos Pena to the list too.

Your boy Theo still has managed to only be 2.5 games ahead though

Go back to the team of the '50s and look at their roster. A few stars, yes, but many role players. You don't need a superstar at every position.

Kocur is like a chick. He digs the long ball, which is why he likes Bill Hall over Jeter. He doesn't understand the meaning of role players in baseball, even though his favorite hockey player was just that.

I'm ok with actual role players, like Cairo. I'm not ok with garbage like bubba. Torre and Cashman share the blame on that one. <_<

So you're finally admitting Jeter is an overpaid role player?

What I said had nothing to do with Jeter. I was simply pointing out that all you care about is the long ball like a chick. The Bill Hall for Jeter reference had to do with something else asinine you said last night, referring to Hall's 20 HRs as proof he's bettee than Jeter. Jeter is not a role player, and if you think he is, you're lost, even moreso than I thought.

For 182 mill I think you should be able to match a guy named Bill Hall in power numbers - especially in a the AL where the parks are a joke.....

Are you bi-polar? A couple of weeks ago you were saying how impressed you are with Jeter driving in runs without hitting homeruns. You think Hall is going to out homer him every year anyway? Why do you care?

Who cares what Jeter makes? Contracts only matter if you're trying to move them. The Yankees don't want to move him and he makes them a ton of money in addition to his play on the field. Wake up.

Can you be accurate at least? It's $189 million.
