Right now they're saying the pain he's feeling is muscular, which is normal, and that the bones fused well. So far, so good on the Matsui news. |

I'm sure he was beating his meat as soon as the cast came off. The wrist his been tested already, somewhat. He's right-handed but swings lefty so I'm sure he's a switch jerker. Probably reaching here, but one thing I hope that comes from this in the last month or two, is that he takes the ball the other way more often. Usually when he's slumping, he's rolling the top hand over, turning his wrist trying to pull outside pitches and it results in weak grounders to 2B. Hopefully some fear of pain will help him avoid that. |

That seems to be good news. I'd expect there would be some soreness till he works it out some more and strengthens it. The bone healing was the most important thing. If that went well, the rest will come, but it will take some time to get his stroke back. |
