No, he's not. I figured I'd start the thread for the VC though.

:please: He's in no way done, but I'd trade Mo for Papelbon, no Joke. :agent:

Yeah, trade Jeter for the shortstop of the moment too while you're at it. Mo would haunt the Yankees and it would tarnish his legacy as a lifetime eventual Hall of Fame Yankee, but I know, none of that matters to the VC! Unless you're talking about your fantasy baseball league, in which case maybe I would too.

 Papelbon is by far the best closer in the MLB. Mo is still great, but he has nothing on that guy in Boston.

THAT guy in Boston, just started his career! Yes he's been excellent this year, but don't go comparing him to Mariano yet. Let's see how his CAREER turns out before the annointing starts! He hasn't even proven himself for a full season or playoff round yet!

Yes, you're right about that tarnishing the legacy stuff.

I'm just saying from a PURELY BASEBALL standpoint, I'd do the trade. I don't have any illusion that Papelbon will be as good as MO careerwise but he has his whole career ahead of him and Mo has maybe 2 or 3 years before he retires. ;)
