I haven't heard much about this until today. But I've heard Condi Rice, Jeb Bush, and Rich Eisen all have expressed interest in the job

Any sort of news on this at all?

I don't think it'll be any of them. It should be Roger Goodell, Tagliabue's right hand man the past few years. The NFL right now is at its peak and the only possible agendas the league should have would be expanding the sport globally and getting a team in LA. Goodell had a huge impact on the Mexico City game and the expansion the past few years. It just makes sense to stick within and keep the same extremely successful system in tact.

Everyone with DirecTV has it. It's channel 212. It's good stuff and Eisen does a fine job, but I would be shocked if an anchor was named commish.

If he does, at least I can say I have drank with the NFL commissioner.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on June 24, 1969, and raised in Staten Island, Eisen graduated in 1990 from the University of Michigan. In 1994, he graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism with a Master of Science degree in broadcast journalism.

I drank with him up at Syracuse after his alma mater (with Drew Henson and Tom Brady as QBs) beat the Orangemen. He wasn't too interested in me. He was more into hitting on my friend's female friend. He wouldn't hook me up with any of those impersonations of announcers he used to do on SportsCenter. He said he doesn't like discussing work on his free time. I told him I wasn't going to ask any business-related questions, but that at the time, he was my favorite anchor on ESPN, and just loved his impersonations. I politely asked him to give me one HR call. He declined again.

The weird thing is I ran into Suzy Kolber at Jimmy Kimmel Live right when Eisen left ESPN. I was shocked he left and there didn't seem to be any info why, so I asked her what was up. She hooked me up with the scoop that he was going to be the face of a soon-to-be-aired NFL Network. She was a lot nicer than Eisen, but I don't hold it against him.

Did you try to pull a Broadway Joe on her?

Haha no, I actually talked to her before that whole fiasco. She was with a guy, but they didn't seem to actually be together. She looked better in person and seems like a very down to earth, nice chick.

We had to go because we had plans to hit some bars. So I said goodbye and drank the rest of the night. When we got back to our hotel, a celeb sought out ME. Little Richard ran up to me and gave me some religious book. You can imagine that scene when you're wasted at the end of the night. He was ridiculousy nice and very bizarre! I was so pissed that my camera was up in the room because that would have been a hilarious picture. He was waiting for a limo to the airport, so he said he wouldn't be down in the lobby in 5 minutes.
