Damon and Jeter are gonna make things happen. ARod is gonna start knocking the sh*t out of the ball on the first pitch. I can't wait to see this happen, day after day.... |

Ponson looks ridiculous in a Yankee uniform and it's a joke that he's wearing one. |

My vote would have to be Moose. Without him, we're eliminated. Jeter would be runner up. Good to see ya, Mickey! :peace: |

He looks huge to me. I think they said he weighed in at 256 lbs or something like that.
It was Derek Jeter, hands down. |

:please: :please: Jeter's been great, but without Moose (considering we have no one to replace him with), we're in third place at least 6 games back and out of it. :peace: |

I'd give the runner-up to Moose. He's been indispensable too, I agree. Everyone knows I back Moose all the time. I'm a Mike Mussina fan. I celebrate his entire catalog. I don't really want to think where they'd be without Jeter either. For example, right now they'd have a keystone combo of Nick Green and Miguel Cairo. |

I tell you, I'm getting to see a little of the old time Yankee play of add on baseball with a lineup most skeptics would yawn at. |

Yet all Kocur does is cry that he doesn't have HR hitters at every poistion while Vinnie, someone with a brain and capable of developing his own ideas, replies with "I agree with every word you said brotha!" |

Then why do you rip Jeter because he's only hit 6 HR? Or Cairo, for not hitting any? |

Miguel Cairo couldn't be a backup on the 1996 Yankees? Andy Fox was a lot better? Guiel isn't better than Mike Aldrete? The problem is the injuries, not the backups. |

Why do you care what Jeter makes? Besides if George hadn't been an assclown, he'd be making $14 million/year for 7 years, but he waited until Hicks gave A-Rod $25.2 million/year for 10. |

Silliness(tm). Jeter's having maybe the best season of his career, and you're saying Bill Hall's better.
So what? He gets clutch hits all the time, plays nice defense, can steal a bag when called to do so... he's a great bench player. |

Our current starting 2Bman(injuries not withstanding) is Robinson Cano. A very good hitter, slick fielder, who happens to struggle a bit against left handed pitching. Airgo wouldn't the ideal complementary backup have numbers that resemble say .304(BA), .355(OBP) against left handed pitching? :dunno: |

Homie's spelling is a little weak, but it flies because his posts are filled with rational baseball thoughts. There will be a thread started shortly though, in which everyone will type the name "Philip Hughes" one hundred times, or however long it takes for everyone to learn how to spell his first name. People still don't know how to spell "Pettitte," but you'd think most educated Americans could handle "Philip." |
