They are still working on Cox's arm stregnth so he isn't an option, but TJ Beam is dominating the eastern league to the tune of a 0.86 era and only 26 hits in 42 innings. Mendoza's numbers look good, but I wouldn't be supprised if velocity was still an issue with him, they may want to wait. Smith is doing well, but I think he is more of a lefty specialist if its for long term. Same with Charlie Manning, who is having a good year. Cashman can probably swing Henn for a diamond in the rough reliever like he did Ramirez for Chacon last year, but for that to happen Henn would need to come back and pitch decent. Veres is getting alot of Ks, but is only pitching to a 3.60 or so, he's not walking many which was always a big deal for him. That and I've heard 3 weeks for Dotel, he is supposedly up to 89-91mph.

What about Pope, Homie? What's the story with him? He's lights out as Trenton's closer. Isn't he an option??? :dunno:

He sucked it up in Columbus before being sent to Trenton, So I think he would have to pitch well for Columbus before that kind of Promotion, and Beam is probably first in line for a Columbus promotion at this point.
