When he's good he's GREAT, when he's cold he's ice cold. He's in one of those 'good' stretches now. He's probably in for a GREAT June after an AWFUL May!~

And one of the leaders on on base percentages, it can only help a team like the Yankees, who have hitters that can stick the ball between the lines. I like it when Giambi is on and his those vicious line drives for doubles. That tells me he's seeing the ball well. In that stage, his homers will come. With Phillips taking over playing first, I expect Giambi to stay fresh.

I gotta say - his turnaround started last June. That's almost one year now.

I can't believe it, but the motherfu<ker is back!

I'll never buy that he's completely back to what he once was. He's not going to easily hit over .300 anymore because he rarely goes with pitches. He has in the past few games, but even when in a hot streak, he's very pull happy. So if he could provide the power and run production he once did, as well as draw his walks, and most importantly, stay healthy, I am happy. That's not the Oakland Giambi, but it's the best we could hope for out of the 35 year old Giambi.

He's past his prime, so we certainly aren't going to ever see the Oakland Giambi again. Giambi still is a GREAT asset to the team. The guy is going to hit .270ish 35-40 HRs 110+ RBI and have an OBP around .460 if he stays healthy.....not too shabby!

I could have phrased that better - he'll never be the Oakland Giambi again. But if he can maintain his current level of production, I'll be one happy mother fu<ker.

On pace for 131 RBIs, 1.075 OPS... Who would have believed it?

Yeah, I wasn't saying you said it, but it is said in general whenever he goes on a hot streak. I'm thrilled with that production, especially after what I thought of him two seasons ago and early last year, which can be summed up with one word: :poop:.

If he could somehow spend some regular time DHing and remain productive it would be awsome. Its not worth DHing him if he's going to hit the way he always has as a DH, but if he could fix whatever little mental blip has caused his shitty splits it would be huge for the Yankees flexibility.
