Trade Proctor, Dunkin and Hen to the Cubs for Jaun Pierre and Scott Eyre.

Cubs are about to fold up and Pierre has be terrible this year but his speed and defense warrant getting him while he's cheap. . Eyre has been great and would strengthen out bullpen tremendously.

Trade Proctor while he still has value. Hen sucks. Dunkin can't even hit AAA

Why would we want Pierre? and we already have Villone and Myers.

Pierre's arm is like Damon's. :please:

I know you can do much better than old man. :yankeebaseball:

Screw that, Melky is a better hitter than Pierre already........although Pierre is a base stealing threat, its a wash so why bother!

Pierre takes over in CF, Damon to LF, Melky to RF. Long can be the 4th outfielder. :peace:

Eyre is one of the best relievers in beisabol. He instantly becomes our setup man with Farnsworth shifting to 7th inning duties. ;) :agent:

Pierre sucks..he's the new Tony Womack....and we'll have Dotel back in 3 weeks. We need starting pitching not a POS outfielder and another reliever.

Chicago has Lee and Ramirez at the corners, so they have no use for Duncan. Pierre isn't a good enough outfielder to move Damon to Left, or a good enough hitter to interest me any more. Eyre I like alot and if he could be had for Proctor/Henn they should deff do it.

Well thought out response as opposed to some who just reply "he sucks". I will agree with you Homie. :smirk:

(Suprised I didn't hear from Amit or Stryder who I believe were into getting Pierre in the offseason). :dunno:

You'd be buying Pierre for pennies on the dollar, but I can concede that may not be a good idea.

HOWEVER:

Which starter ya gonna get who's a big upgrade trading the guys I mentioned? Sorry Charlie, what ya see is what ya get. :peace:

"We'll have Dotel back in 3 weeks"? Yeah, so what ya Focker. He may be terrible after such a long layoff! :annoyed:

Eyre is a proven commodity and could immediately become our setup guy, the most solid bridge to MO that we've had in a longgggg time. :agent: Then if Dotel is lights out as you assume, we've got one of the strongest bullpens in baseball.

We may have it already a very strong pen anyway. Hopefully Villone gets more of a chance now. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind Eyre, I was hoping we'd get him this past off-season. I just don't want anything to do with Pierre.

Or see Florida would be interested in a package like that for Willis? It would take more, but that might be a non-Hughes start.
