Slick - fast...Professional - Well Pitched from Start to finish.... Maybe the most important win of the season - RJ needed this.....Big Time....And we may have found Mike Stanton again....in Villone. |

Don't go all SUNSHINE on us! Big deal............one well pitched game from the manwhore! It'll take alot more than that before I even remotely compliment Mr. Burns! He OWES THIS TEAM in a BIG way! |

Exactly - which is why it was huge...he has to start somewhere - you can't keep shitting the bed - Today was a Huge Start for him and he pitched VERY well. Now, he needs to rip off 5-6 of those. |

I'm not excited as Sir Kocur but like he said, he needed to start somewhere! I'm glad Torre finally woke up and used Villone in a tight game!!! The heat probably just got to Torre! |

Joseph was in a spot where he had to use Villone because if used his boy Scott again, his arm would probably fall off right there on the mound and another bad outing would be terrible for his psyche, he couldn't use Myers because he's only good for lefties, so he really had no where to turn. Hopefully Villone was able to prove something, but I doubt it, no that Proctor had his day off, he'll be used to the next 10 games in a row, and Villone will be pushed back to his mop-up role. :puke: |

Good game all around. btw, Proctor leads the majors in most pitches thrown by a reliever at over 500. This reminds me a lot of what joetory did to quantrill. |

I hear ya Koc..........on that I definitely agree! I guess we are gonna find out in the next few days if he has it in him or not! I'm pretty skeptical after last season and the start to this one. It would be a comeback of monumental proportions for that sack o sh*t to turn it around........but then again, look at what Moose has been this season, a real thoroughbred, and I bashed him alot in the past. I don't mind eating my words on that one, and I won't mind if RJ does it to me too! |
