I DON'T WANT REGGIE SANDERS OR FECKIN SHANNON STEWART - I WANT THIS 21 YEAR OLD TO GET 450 AB'S AND I WANT HIM TO STAY IN LEFTFIELD...AND IF YOU DON'T YOU'RE FECKIN LOST - THE LAST THING THIS CLUB NEEDS IS ANOTHER 30 PLUS YEAR OLD WHORE....

Agreed, the only one who does intrigue me would be Soriano or Hunter, but both teams would start asking for Hughes. I like this kid, I like 'em a lot. He's grown up a lot since coming up last year!

He needs to improve his play in the outfield, but I do like what I've seen from him so far.

Actually he has improved it, there is still more work to be done, but I think he's come a long way!

Yeah, but Sori and Hunter are the two guys we would be willing to deal Melky for.....no Hughes though of course, they can go f*ck themselves if they ask for him!

You don't know that....who knows what it will take to get Soriano back - If they wanted Melky I bet we'd do it.

I don't understand why you want to trade players for someone we can sign in the offseason.

Sometimes when you are in a tight race and another arm or bat might put you over the top you have to go for it!

Sori's not that kinda player. He's not the difference between a championship and an ALDS loss.

Not players - all I said was Soriano and I've said it for awhile....if we give up for him I want a 24 HR window for an extension - he can play RF next season after Sheff bolts to Seattle.....

Yes he can be, but this team is probably not in that dire of a need for a bat as much as they are for another arm. He was 3 Mariano Rivera outs away from being a World Series hero!!!! He also hit a huge Home Run that helped us beat Seattle and get to the World Series, the guy has done it before.

Sori I can understand, but not Hunter. There's not enough in his bat and you're going to move Damon in the middle of the season?

Yeah, Hunter isn't great with the bat and I agree that it's probably not a good idea shifting Damon mid season. I think if you deal for a hitter you deal for Sori, but again, pitching should still be the main focus.

He strikes out a lot doesn't walk much but he's still a .290 ish hitter who is going to hit 30-40 HRs steal 25 + bases and knock in 100 runs, the guy can swing a mean bat.

Plus he's impressing the hell out of me in a HUGE ballpark in DC.

.301 18 HR and 35 RBI

12 steals OPS around .962 which for him is higher then it normally is, but I expected a sh1t season out of him. I thought he would sulk and be miserable there but he's made good out of that situation.

My concern with Sori is that he seems to only hit from the lead off spot. And we certainly don't need that.

Amit - look at all the Melky dickriding.

I recall being the 1st Right Handed hitter to hit 40 in Yankee Stadium in decades - I also recall Sori being the on the verge of being a World Seriers hero after homeing off Shilling in the World Series to make it 2-1 Yankees only to have Mo blow it ....

That never happened. A-Rod was the one to do that.

Yeah but he hit 39 and 38 in back to back years, how many can make that claim?
