Trade him while somebody is still stupid enough to think the guy is actually good. And ask if they can take Joseph as well. :peace: |

If that idiot Torre didn't use him and abuse him so much, he'd be ok. This guy is a MORON........I don't blame Proctor one bit, did you really expect him to be lights out all season long, he'll get back on track, as long as clueless Joe doesn't keep abusing him! |

Well, bottomline is Mussina should have started the 7th. I don't like Proctor and I don't really have any confidence in him, but I'll give you this game wasn't his fault. Joe was being a moron as usual. |

What was Mussina's pitch count? I was thinking about that then I had a Jim Kaat moment and thought that since he had been coasting for 4 innings and getting quick outs without expending himself much, he could've been good for another inning. But I don't know if the count was over 100 already. Bleed, it wasn't overwork why Proctor gave up the run. It's not as if his control was off and the velocity was down. He'd only pitched 3 innings since May 23. He just didn't get it done. Thing is, you can't expect Scott Proctor to turn into Tom Gordon suddenly and be that consistently. But aside from that, Torre is a jackhole. |

I wish Joe would just go away. He has enough money, stop stealing, and retire. |

I see your point Strider............but Torre goes to him way too often, like he is ol reliable already. Proctor has done a good job so far, but he will be Tanyon II if Torre keeps using him like he does. If Proctor was used less often, and he can be, I think he'd be more reliable. He isn't mentally ready for the frequency with which Torre calls his name. And as I posted, I can't fault the guy, he gives his all every outing, sometimes he is just overmatched, Torre needs a good reaming, cause he leaves more accomplished guys in that pen and puts it all on Proctor, which is stupid whether they plan on keeping him or trading him! And as far as this magical 100 pitch count, its a bunch of bullshit for the most part! So many pitchers pitched well into the mid 100s not all that long ago. I truly believe that the low pitch counts are what leads to more arm problems for alot of these guys. Guys like Gibson and Koufax and Drysdale din't worry about their pitch count! They wanted to pitch complete games regardless. |
