Alright, so he's struggled this year. Just got knocked around a bit and their team as a whole is struggling. Couple more losses and they'll be dangerously close to dipping below .500. Move gets you a veteran lefty who can eat innings. He's pitched well in NY in the past and in a pressure game even with his struggles this season I'd probably take him over most of our starters now. Plus, the Clemens effect. Bringing Pettite aboard makes NY look that much more attractive. Bottom line with the way this year has gone we very well may end up needing 2 more starters the rest of the way. And a rotation of Johnson, Mussina, Pettite, Clemens and Wang would be a pretty good 5 to trot out there week after week.

I actually agree, I'm pissed at what he pulled, but after having watched assclowns like Brown, Vazquez, Johnson, etc try and fail to help make up for the loss, I'm not opposed to giving Pettitte a shot, I'd be more than willing to forget that the whole Houston thing ever happened. And who knows, maybe coming back here, especially if we could get Roger too, could rejuvenate him.

He had surgery to repair his elbow, didn't he? That should eliminate any worries about that.

I'd certainly be on board for him. His contract was severely backloaded to this year, so it might be possible.

Oh God yes. Bring him back. I'll even chip in a few extra bucks toward his contract
