He'd have to sign an extension and agree to play the outfield. There's no way you deal whoever they want besides Hughes for a rental. You liked Soriano? You didn't jump on 473's dumbass Sorian0for18 nickname? |

There's more pressing needs than getting Soriano or anybody else for LF. I'd say get Clemens, then try and swing a deal for another pitcher as well. Then if we still have time see what's out there for left, if we really need anybody. I wouldn't mind just sticking with Melky if he keeps doing well. |

Melky is doing well, but he isn't a long term answer for this team. He'll hit for avg. but we need power in the outfield. I say trade him while he looks real good at the plate. |

We've got enough power through out the lineup, what we really need is starting pitching. We don't another all or nothing player like Soriano. |

No. Tell me, would you require an extension to be signed, or you're willing to give up those guys for a few months, so you could see him in a Yankee uniform one more time? I liked Soriano too, but I don't want to deal the future for a rental. Answer my previous question too, did you really like him, or you were with 473 and Mini-473 with the Sorian0for18 silliness? |

Melky, Henn and Duncan would be too easy. We're the Yankees not the Red Sox, the Nats will try to bend the Yankees over and rape them. |

Its not about digging the long ball....and like it or not, outfielders need to put up power numbers. Soriano is better than Melky Cabrera at the plate, and is probably already his equal if not better in the field as neither one is a great outfielder. This team has a limited window to get it done, and it isn't going to happen with Melky Cabrera as a regular in the outfield, I wish it would, but I don't see it. Matsui is done for the year basically. He is gonna have a real weak wrist, after he starts rehab we'll be lucky if he is back to full strength by the end of the season. If this team hangs tough with the pitching slobbery, I don't want to count on Melky come the playoffs, as a regular out there! |

An interesting little Soriano stat: He's leading all ML OF'ers in assists with 8. Seems to be adjusting to LF quite well. |

He has looked ok in the games I have watched him. I think Sheffield had a lot of assists when he first moved out there from the infield too. |

You know who led MLB in OF assists last season? Manny. I don't buy that stat. |

No sh*t, huh? Well, it's always been a bit of a dubious stat for me. Now it's almost completely meaningless. |

He has a shorter throw and gets clean bounces off the wall more often. I don't buy it either. |
