link This looks like a good opportunity for Cash to take advantage of Bowdens stupidity. They need a starter, I'd love it if they took Small or Wright. I'd like to keep Rasner, but it would be pretty funny if we traded a guy Bowden released to him for a usefull player. |

With no Pavano and the Big Sh!tstain, we can't afford to trade a starting pitcher. Especially with Chacon out. |

Bowden has to have everything approved by Stan Kasten right now. Once the new owners take over Bowden will be looking for work. |

You wouldn't trade Small for Church? |

Church is just another Bubba Crosby. Washington doesn't want a guy like Small anyway. They said they're going to rebuild with youth. |

Compairing Church to Crosby is assinine. My point about Small is that him and maybe even Wright are not very high above replacement value. Wright is approaching usefullness, but how long until he gets hurt or is left in a game long enough to mess up? Rasner in my humble opinion can step in and out pitch both in my opinion. Church is a Chad Curtis type player who has had a season of .287, .353, .466 in a pitchers park. |

I don't care much about strikeout totals when the other numbers are solid, and he's never had a history of unusually high Ks anyway. If we're talking about trading a mediocre-poor starting pitcher for the guy I don't even blink. He's FAR from Bubba Crosby. Infact he makes Bubba look like....is there a worse player than Bubba suitable for this comparison? |

He's really in double A? Well thats just Bowden being Bowden. Ryan Church is a major league player. In a realistic world Bubba would be in AA and Church would be a big league 4th outfielder/spot starter. Ryan Church has major league credentials in a pitchers park, Bowden has has been throwing him around starting/bench/AAA/majors/AA. Its no supprise he's struggling with that. He also seems to have a bit of an ego, so get him away from the organization and GM that is jerking him around and he'll be more comfortable. He's twice the player Bubba Crosby is. |

I'd trade a guy like Hen for Church, but at this point we have to keep Wright (who has done well lately and makes too much to trade) becuase he's in the starting rotation and we don't have the depth to replace him. :peace: |

Despite not showing much I don't want to deal Henn for yet another backup outfielder. I like Church, but he's not any better than Long or Hidalgo and with Durazo hopefully on the rise there won't be any room for him. |
