If he knew El Duke was available he should have jumped on it......

I hate seeing him go to the Muets. I don't know how much Duque has left in the tank, but if all they had to give up was Julio, we could have dealt them Sturtze and a chest protector.

At least Julio is pitching. He stinks, but he's not getting shoulder surgery. Arizona would have wanted prospects from the Yanks, I bet.

Fact is the national league is hitting about .300 off El Duque and .247 off Julio. Both guys have decent strikeout numbers and Julio is still young. It was a trash for trash move, the Mets didn't rob any body. Unless the deal was for Sturtze, who obviously isn't tradeable right now, or Small, who the D-Backs obviously wouldn't take, I don't deal for El Duque at this point in the season.
