Arroyo for Wily Mo Pena? Not a very smart move on the Sox part. Arroyo was a decent pitcher for the Sox, and now he's lights out with the Reds.

Sounds like hindsight, but I did think that at the time. With Schilling and Wells' age, and Beckett's injury history... Not a good move.

I know Pena has done a good job for them, but this move is going to bite them in the ass.

Yeah, I thought that at the time too. It didn't make sense to deal a starter with the age (Wells, Wakefield, Schilling), injuries (Wells, Schilling, Beckett), and wimpiness (Clement) in their rotation. Wily Mo has TUP (tremendous upside), but it didn't make sense for Arroyo.
