Also why would they want Mo facing Wright instead of Delgado? |

Because Delgado is 7 for 18 lifetime with a double and a few RBIs against Mo I believe. |

Wright is a white Edgar Martinez only better. Godfather Joe has totally lost it. He should have pitched to Delgado. I f*cking hate this team. |

Shut up, you VC jackass. You and your f*cking "gang" aren't real Yankees fans. Just stop watching and get the f*ck out of here if you don't believe. That's all you guys do, talk sh*t and complain. Now you assholes are doubting Mo. :fyou: |

Mo gets a pass. He is still a dominant closer, and has done some amazing things as a Yankee. Of course he is a liitle more mortal now, but you can chalk this loss up to that lesbian RJ, and Clueless Joe. Damon should never have been so shallow! |

I don't blame Damon for not being deep. It's Mariano pitching. How many times does Rivera get taken 400 feet? He does give up a lot of jam shots and bloopers though. You don't want Damon a foot from the warning track while Wright's potential pop-fly drops in just out of Cano's reach. Like Kaat says, "If they hit it that far, it's my fault." And I didn't like the decision to walk Delgado when it happened. I know he's got numbers, but his weakness is inside, up just below the letters. Let Rivera go at him with the cutter. Plus, having your closer walk somebody is a sign of weakness and lack of confidence. It's not like walking Ramirez to get to Trot Nixon. Wright has been the Mets best clutch hitter since last season and is hitting for a higher average than Delgado. I also won't overreact and think that Rivera's done. We've seen this before. I don't suck his dick like the lot of you, but I realize that he's not too high in the ranking of long-term problems. On my list of "Reasons to Give Up on 2006," he isn't even on it. The velocity is still there - in fact, I've seen him hit 95 a couple times - and the cutter still has its movement. It's been location, control and some bad luck. His numbers won't look as good as they have in years past, but I expect 35-40 saves and a strong ERA in the 2's. |

While I agree with you to a point, both Jeter and Cano, have shown they can chase down some of those bloopers, and thats why I say Damon should not have been that shallow. |

You missed it. You were complaining in a VC-esque manner and I was impersonating you ripping us for doing what you were doing right there. Role reversal because it's usually you on that sunshine bullshit, telling us to stop whining. |

Another bad stat on ARod. They say he's the worst first inning batter in the MLB, batting under .150...That's more reason we get screwed with him as cleanup hitter. |
