5-1 2.35 ERA 42 Strikeouts 8 walks .98 WHIP

Very astounding numbers for a guy who is usually pretty average, especially being up in age...

He's shut down lineups such as Anaheim, Toronto, Texas and Oakland...Even in a loss to Minnesota he pitched well, 3 earned over 6.2 innings...

Now most of us, including myself have pretty much kicked Moose to the curb and call him this or that...

Will tonight be his chance to get us to be happy with him? Rely on him? Be confident in him? Outpitching Schilling and beating that lineup?

I know basing somebody off 1 start is stupid, although for some of you on here, that's what you do...But just in terms of gaining confidence in Moose, this would be a big step.

He's been pitching very well, and he's pretty much due for a rough outing sooner or later...if he came out and didn't pitch well, i wouldn't be mad because he's a huge reason why our record is at least respectable.

This is the night that Moose can earn all the haters back. This is Boston, a different animal. We need him to be an animal!

He struggled early on but was able to put it together and pitch well enough for the win. I'm very encouraged by his start and with RJ pitching like an a-hole, we'll need Moose even more.

Now we will resign him to a 3 year 45 million extension
