This game is out of reach, but that AB is just another typical, pathetic Posada AB. No heart at all in this guy. Get him out of my sight.

I'm telling you, and I said it all last season, the only way that was happening was if he were to be more of a DH/backup 1B/backup C this season. He'll be back next season since he's still the regular catcher and then he will exercise the player option for 2008.

Yeah, he'll likely be back. Doesn't change my stance I hate him and want him traded.

We both were saying that. Posada is here for the next 2+ years. :-|

Would have been worth it to pay a little more for Molina's services. Fat Ass can still throw and get the clutch hit, which is a batter we need

I also doubt he watches as many third strikes and swings at as many balls in the dirt for strike 3 as Posada does. It's painful to watch.

Molina's game has a few warts, but once the market for him dried up after the LoDuca trade, the Yankees should have offered him a 2 year deal. 3-4 was too many, but 1-2 was perfect, and it would have been a good way to phase Jorge out, but still have the option to make another change in a couple of years.

Posada's been good offensively this year, but he's one of those guys where the stats don't do his defiencies justice, especially his crap behind the plate. He just doesn't stand up for his pitchers and he has no fire. Seriously, you need a guy that can almost threaten the pitcher into throwing strikes. Don't even have to be tough, but intense. Have a fire for the game. You can tell with Posada, since he transitioned from the IF, he doesn't have that in him. And he lacks a lot else defensively.

He also frames the pitches well, calls a good game, catches potential wild pitches and fights for his pitcher.

Molina has a little trouble ranging to save some errant throws and such, and seriously at his weight, how can you blame him, but he's pretty much a complete catcher
