Will the Yankees be able to win it this year?

I think they have great players but they cant play them all at once, some players will get mad because they diserve to play but they won't. I think the Yankees are 2nd round elimation in the palyoffs. The chemistry is great and pitching is amazingly better this year then last year, but I don't think they can pull it off. They got to many of the same players, as in a few good feilders, nobody really has a great arm in the outfeild.

When you don't hit in the clutch, can't play defense, have a weak starting rotation, a shitty bullpen, and an idiot manager. You don't win anything.

Well, that is a little extreme, but they have been playing like a-holes since 2002.

They've been terrible since Zimm left and Joe actually had to manage the team, instead of just filling ot the lineup card and sipping tea on the bench!

This team isn't winning sh*t. All they want to do is show up at the park (and even that's debatable) go through the motions and cash their checks. Not one of 'em gives a damn anymore. This team has gone way to soft. The fish rots from the head...and we all know who the head is here.

This is only one way to turn this joke of a team around... and that would be by getting rid of Clueless Joe Torre. He HAS to go, has to. If we are to have any chance at salvaging this season, he needs to be fired BEFORE the home opener. It'd be awesome if after the lineups were announced George went out on to the field and told the fans he had a big surprise for them, did his best Vince McMahon impression and told Joe he was fired. That'd be so great.

Come on. Zimmer didn't do sh*t but eat seeds, look goofy, and collect a check. Dumbass Joe was making stupid mistakes with him there. The whole concept of a bench coach is f*cking disgusting to me. The manager should make 8 figures annually and need somebody, in addition to his pitching and hitting coaches, helping him do his job. And if Joe needed Zimmer for a damn thing more than comic relief, I'm even more sick of him than I was a minute ago.

I don't wanna hear that sh*t. It bothers me that Steinbrenner has to make up for Torre's faults by having him surrounded by ex-managers with fiery attitudes (Pena and Bowa) in addition to the $203M Moneyball All Stars.

And f*ck that, this team still wouldn't win sh*t w/o Torre. It's the players. That just goes to show how useless the manager is. Exaggeration yes, but not too far off from useless. I'd give Bill Bellichick a 10-second handjob to punch the sh*t of Joe if he saw him.

That would be hilarious. You know most fans and the media would hate George for it though, and he cares more about that sh*t now than he used to. He's gone soft himself. Still like the guy, but he needs to turn back the clock.

:-| For both of you.

Stop teasing yourselves with impossible fantasies when you know damn well that you'll be seeing that jackass until his contract is up and rides off into the sunset, still getting his dick licked.

Yeah, unfortunately, he'll get a sendoff like he was Lou Gehrig making his speech. And those f*cking know-nothing fans at the stadium will probably cheer the f*ck out of him, and I'll end up rooting for the Blue Jays from then on

I know it won't happen. I'm just laughing at the thought of it. That's what SHOULD be done, and it's what WOULD be done if the I was the owner of the Yankees. But unfortunately you're right on this one. Joe is here till the contract is up, and people will say "it's such a sad day, there goes the greatest Yankee manager ever." Truly disgusting.

They will say that crap. It's complete bullsh*t. Joe Torre is, hands down, the most overrated manager in the game.
