Torre's going to leave Wright in for a while. |

He wasted Sturtze to 1 batter. He has to stick with Wright there. Lets say he Brings in Myers and he gets Chavez. Then what? Farnsworth in a tie game in the 7th? Proctor? Villone? He wouldn't have many other options and that's no good in a tie game. It's Torre's fault for wasting Sturtze to just 1 batter. |

Exactly, he had to keep Wright in there. |

It worked out, and I understand, but in a tie game after this sh*t the past two days, I'd feel better playing the percantages with a guy like Myers on Chavez than let Wright go through the heart of the order. It worked out though |

Torre always does this sh*t. Even when the right button is accidentally pushed, he pushes his luck. Weaver in the World Series comes to mind |

Yeah, 2 from Wright was enough. Farnsworth for the 8th, then Mo in the 9th if we get the lead. If not, Villone for 2 innings, then Proctor the rest of the way unless we get a lead. |

I said this in the game thread too. The Wright thing should have worked. Yeah the Bradley ball was hit hard, but Damon was timing his jump with 3 steps left to run before the wall. Cano botched a routine play and the next two guys got hits based on defensive positioning of those guys. Sturtze probably should have stayed in longer like Rob said, but I don't trust him either. Can't kill Torre for the Wright thing. |

what part of what I said is optimistically innacurate? If both plays are made there is no runner on third. No runner on third, no infield in, no infield in no Scutaro single. |

Scutaro's single was hard hit up the middle!!! Kendall hit a bullet to right field. Those are legit hits. Bradley hit a 400 ft dead center blast towards the top of the wall. I'm insulted for all the respect I give you that you want to draw this out and are acting like I don't understand |

Just because the balls are hard hit doesn't mean they wouldn't or shouldn't have been outs. I'm not saying Wright pitched a great inning or that he shouldn't have gave up runs the way the balls were hit. I'm saying the end result could have very well been 3 outs, 1 Ken Doll hit, and no runs. I'm not dissrespecting, I'm arguing what I feel should have been and saying Wright/Torre shouldn't be the only ones to get blame here. |

Name me a time Jeter has ranged up the middle on anything. f*ck, a squibber, let alone a hardhit ball, he isn't near. In fact with the infield in, he was closer to that ball than he would have been back. He was closer to 2nd base than usual |

I get on Jeter for range too, but if he's in the same spot, 1 or 2 steps back I think he gets that ball. I didn't see the replay because i left the room pissed, but the play looked like that to me. |

Joe pushed his luck going with Wright in the 8th, he's a f*cking idiot, I'm not shocked though, seen this sh*t too many times. And Wright got blasted, like an a-hole. That said, Damon should've made that f*cking play, I don't care how hard it was hit, if he's wearing a hat with a red B on it, he makes that play look routine, he didn't even f*cking try. I'd love to kick his ass for not making that play. And I'd sure as hell love to beat the crap out of Torre, just for not knowing when too much is too much. He pushed his luck, EVERY time, and 9 times out of 10, we get burned because of it. |
