one thing...Their announcers are top shelf..
Not their Color guys ...but their PBP guys are excellent voice wise....Gary Cohen on the TV has a great voice..is he a prick? Yes...he's a total Metsfan a-hole who rather see the Yanks lose than the Mets win....BUT his voice is as good as it gets.
Now they get this Tom McCarthy guy on the radio - His voice is classic baseball....
Throw in the fact that Gary Thorne(a great announcer IMO) has done them in the past and you really cannont compare..

- What do we have? Michael Kay...Kay is a former beat reporter...Why the feck is the PBP guy? How the feck is he the PBP guy? b/c he sat in the Bleachers as a kid?
We're the Yankees on YES net - Bob Costas should be doing us....or someone known nationally ...

- I have never met a Yankee fan who likes him -Sterling is great b/c he's all schtick but he's a true radio guy.

Listening to Kay everynite is unbearable...combine that with the asinine Score strip and I'm, extra pissed...

Some Mets fans were telling me that McCarthy sounds exactly like Cohen. I heard him on the radio in their opener and I don't know if he sounds a lot like Cohen (don't know Cohen's voice well enough) but I know he's a homer. The bitch got moiste everytime David Wright fielded a ball. It was worse than Sterling calling a 6-3 by Jeter.
