As soon as I saw Proctor

I knew the game was over. At worst why couldn't Farnsworth start the inning, he only faced two batters in the prior inning. Silliness!

Exactly. Where's Villone? Sturtze? Proctor should not be brought into a situation like that.

It's that idiot Torre's fault.

I said "i'm shutting off the tv". right when I saw he was in. f*cking up a close game is the last thing the poor guy needs right now and it was pretty much a guarentee.

not that i'm crazy about sturtze in that spot, but he's 10x better than Proctor. And Torre proved last year that he isn't against pitching sturtze back to back days when he was doing it in blowout games. Not to mention Farnsworth could have just stayed in.

Torre better watch is back with all these ex-coaches on this team. The Boss isn't going to take much of his bullpen idiocy this year.

Chalk up loss #1 at the hands of Clueless Joe.

Farnsworth, Villlone, or Sturtze. You lose with one of those two, you live with it. Losing a game with Scott Proctor when you have options, I'm seriously pissed off.

I thought about it and i'm sure a big deal would have been made of it and Proctor wouldn't have been with the team.

I certainly hope you didn't hear that right. What a horrendous night it'd be for him if that happened. Not only did he get f*cked over by his manager, but if he lost his kid on the same day... sh*t, that'd suck.

I can't even get on his case for what happened. We all know the guy isn't a good pitcher. Everyone except Joe Torre that is. Just like we all knew Roberts was stealing in the '04 ALCS, just like we all know you don't pitch to David Ortiz in a clutch spot. Only one who doesn't get this sh*t is Clueless f*cking idiot Joe Torre. A true, true a-hole.

That's good to hear. I thought I had heard them say that. Honestly, I think the guy should be at home with his wife and kid until they see how everything is going to work out. Of course, it means we get some other piece of cow sh*t like DeSalvo or Smith. It'd really help if Dotel could get here by mid-May. You don't want them to rush him either though.

Glad his daughter is fine! Great news to hear indeed.

I'm not even pissed at Proctor, it's all f*cking Torre's fault for putting him in that spot. I'm so f*cking pissed still, we had this f*cking game. No clutch hits late in the game and every time we grabbed a lead, all be it a slim 1 run lead twice, Moose sh*t the lead away with giving up a HR the very next inning. All in all Moose did pitch well though. 7 IP 3 ER, I'll sign up for that type of performance from him.

The manager cost us this game, Farnsworth or Sturtze should be pitching the 9th, and I'd just have quickly let Farnsworth pitch 1 more inning.

That's where you're wrong. Enough was enough years ago and Steinbrenner still hasn't fired him. I thought he was done after 2003. I thought for sure after 2004. I thought there was a chance after last season. Now I realize that he's here until the contract is up. That job is safer than a safe.

I dunno. Maybe having 12,000 ex-coaches here might make that decision a little easier for him. Do I expect it? Not really. It will be another summer of bullpen stupidty by Joe.

I stay awake until 1:00 in the f*cking morning with my eyes bloodshot red only to wake up early and I see Scott Proctor blow it?

Send his f*cking ass to Class A Tampa, I want to yell some sh*t at him. Worthless sh*t.

He'd be holding down a roster spot for someone with the possibility of talent. I'd prefer we released his ass immediately.

Exactly. A guy like Josh Schmidt should be closing for Tampa. Or unpolished teenagers or 20 year olds that haven't put it together yet. Proctor is freaking 30, enough is enough already. The Ventura trade was a wash, they need to stop pretending we got usefull players.
