AL East
Yankees
Sox
Jays
O's
D-Rays

1&2 and 4&5 will be close. I like Boston's pen alot.

AL Central
White Sox
Indians
Twins
Tigers
Royals

Every team except the Royals will be pretty close to the team ahead of them. I can really see the Indians winning it, but I'm going with the safe bet.

AL West
Angels
A's
Rangers
Mariners

I think the Angels are the best team in the AL right now when you consider they have the ability to make just about any trade they want.

The A's, Red Sox, and Indians are going to fight it out the whole year for the WC as well as thier division titles. I honestly think its a complete toss up, but I'll go with Cleveland right now(mostly wishful thinking)

NL East
Braves
Mets
Phillies
Nats
Marlins

I'd pick the Mets, but I'm not stupid. The Phillies look ok, but not all that impressive. Bowden is driving the Nats into the ground, they need to wise up. I think we're all agreed on the Fish finishing last.

NL Central
Cardinals
Astros
Brewers
Cubs
Pirates
Reds

This one was hard past the first 2. I'm picking the Cubs to be a huge dissapointment this year and not just because of Wood and Prior being hurt. I like the Brewers more than most. The Pirates keep improving and look ok, but not impressive. The Reds suck.

NL West
Dodgers
Padres
Giants
D-Backs
Rockies

The D-Backs are close to being really good, but I think its going to be a transition year for them. I like the Padres, but they are a couple of injuries away from being really bad. The Rockies are lost. I see the Padres and Mets being really close to the Wild Card, but I gotta go with Houston

First Round
Yankees over Indians
Angels over White Sox
Cardinals over Dodgers
Astros over Braves

Second Round
Angels over Yankees
Cardinals over Astros

World Series
Angels over Cardinals

MVPs: A-Rod/Pujols
CY Young: Santana/Peavy...Halladay/Johnson and Oswalt will be close
ROY: Johjima/Zimmerman...If Delmon Young gets called up June or earlier I think he'll get it.

I'm glad nobody has picked the Yankees to win the World Series thus far. Jayson Stark and Gammons and can go lick lollipops and blow kisses to seagulls.

It was a little off the cuff, but the Cubs got a great chance in the playoffs if they can cling to a Wild Card or something

Why not.

1 pitcher doesn't win a division, let alone a world series

They wouldn't win the division if they got there. I'm not expecting Prior's injury to be serious. I like their pen, Williamson, Wuertz, Howry, Eyre, and Dempster did a great job closing. Zambrano is a bonafide ace and still got Maddux for some consistancy, Jerome Williams will be good. Plus, their lineup, they got Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez, now with Juan Pierre setting the table. I'd like a little more fire power in the corner OF spots, since Jacque Jones and Matt Murton doesn't inspire confidence, but I think being in the Sally League, they have enough to cling to for a Wild Card spot. They have the talent to trade for a need as well.

Thanks, the only thing I could be guilty of is getting on the Brewers and A's bandwagon. The more I like at the A's, especially pitching 1-12, I love that team. Their offense is the only question but if things fall into place I thing they will score enough to support that pitching of theirs.

Man; I thought I was on the Brewer's bandwaggon putting them 3rd again. I guess i don't like them more than most afterall. I think the Angels' money and prospects/trading chips give them a slight advantage over the A's, but after looking over the A's better they may be better than Cleveland. The Giants are extreemly boring to me, but looking at the Dodgers again and they aren't clear cut favorites either despite adding Nomar, Furcal, Meuller, Baez, and in a way Gange. That division is going to be really bad.

I'd think a hellova lot higher of the Brewers if Ben Sheets was healthy and throwing like he's capable. That guy was just filthy two seasons ago, and even last year, he was pitching great ball without even having his curve working. I'm just not sure on him though. Probably being hypocritical though, since I'm assuming Prior will be fine

The starting 8 I love. I still think Bush is going to be good(although i gotta admit i'm more likely to be wrong about a pitcher than a hitter). The overall pitching is solid, but for some reason I see them as a team like the 93 Yankees. A team thats gonna make alot of noise, but fall short in the end. The Royals 03, A's/Reds 99 were also teams kinda like that.

Yes, I liked them getting David Bush in that deal as well. He was solid for Toronto towards the end last year and now he's in the Sally League. Doug Davis has probably established by now he's not a fluke either. I can't think of their other starters though. Capuano, I'm not sold on. What else they got? They have a lot of youth in their lineup too. I didn't realize JJ Hardy projects as a hitter and not just a fielder either. He had some decent power numbers last year as a rookie. Prince Fielder, obviously, they got high hopes on. Just not enough for my liking yet, but they were a .500 team last season and they probably got better.

I think right now its Sheets, Davis, Capuano, Ohka, and then De La Rosa or Bush...Helling was in camp too, don't know if he made the team though.

I'm not sure if they'll start Hardy at third or start Koskie and have Hardy be a super sub. I could see either. I agree with you, I think they are close to having all the players, I just think they still need a year so. Should be a fun team either way.
