Carl Pavano, who already had been scheduled to begin the season on the disabled list because of a back injury, has been shut down because of his bruised left buttocks.
An MRI on Thursday was negative, but "he's got some pain and he's going to be shut down until that pain disappears," manager Joe Torre said.

Next year Zito, Mulder and Burr Lee are all free agents. I want at least one of them.

Of those 3, I'd probably prefer Zito, depending on what he does this year, although Burr Lee's track record of pitching deep and consistantly in games would serve us very well. I just don't like him though.Mulder has been soft in the big spot and he pitched to a 4 plus ERA in the Sally League in a ready made situation for 20 wins. I'll pass for now.

Brother Brian, we weren't that rough on her, were we? We did treat her like a Bangladesh whore, but not enough to cause a bruise.

Not as hard as we've given it to Mussina. He's got one sweet ass.

You can say that again. Mmm! We should call him up and see if we can set something up for tonight. I want another piece of that.

I wouldn't be against signing your boy Zito since it would only cost us cash, and I like Buehrle, so I wouldn't mind him either. But Mulder was trash in the NL last year. If I don't see improvement this season I'd say he can feck off.

And as far as Pavano goes, this sh*t is just getting out of hand. I'll just say what I've said before, if they had listened to the VC and signed Pedro, none of this would be a problem.

If you throw all the bits of information in a pot and speculate a little, it's not far fetched to think that he's embellishing his injuries or pain so he doesn't have to pitch. Remember, "I can't believe I get paid for this sh*t"? That's one of the things with guaranteed contracts. Seems unlikely but we've seen it in the NBA. All these setbacks and injuries, and he doesn't seem shook up or frustrated.

I apologize to myself for calling him a man when he took that linedrive in the head and kept his feet.

He's almost not worth the time to mention anymore. He's become a waste of print.

Strider, taking that shot off Mora just shows he can take more slaps to the face before going down. He'll still cry like a bitch.

Next time me and Brian bone the hemoglobin out of her, I'm gonna remember throw some punches. I wanted to do that last time but she's just so feminine and ladylike that I couldn't bring myself to do it.

The whole Pavano situation disgusts me so much. At the very least, two of his four years on the deal will have been a waste.

And ironically the fear in Pedro signing was him having wasted years

:dunno:

He might just prove himself, come back in May and win 15 games with a 3.10 ERA.
