1) Are the Yankees still the team to beat in the AL?

2) Are the Yankees a top 7 Team in all MLB anymore?

3) Are you nervous?

4) Are you scared?

5) Randy Johnson : bounce back year? or same crap as last season?

6) Did Cashman do enough this winter?

7) Carl Pavano - he will be a pleasant surprise and go about 14-6 OR Carl Pavano isn't worth the toilet paper you wipe your ass with.

8) 2006 is basically going to be Summer Of Excitement - Part Deux b/c we're no longer that good - it's gonna be a scratch and claw season from Game 1.

9) Would you really be shocked if the Yanks finish 3rd in the division?

10) Can you stomach another year of Posada?

1.) No, they haven't been the team to beat since 2001.

2.) Yes, but that doesn't mean sh*t here, we have to be no. 1, and right now, we're not close.

3.) No, just angry that we don't get what we paid for.

4.) see above

5.) Same crap, possibly worse.

6.) Well, there wasn't a ton out there, he did an ok job, and got us the CF we need, but I don't think he got enough to win us a championship.

7.) Carla Pavano- Isn't worth the toilet paper I wipe my ass with. One of the worst signings in a long, long time.

8.) It'll definitely be scratch and claw from Game 1.

9.) No, I've seen too much crap and underachieving from this team for the last few years that if they finished third this year it wouldn't be a total shock.

10.) I've been sick of Posada since '99.

Welcome back Kocur. It's good to have you back leading the VC.

It's gonna be a tough season no dought. We'll certainly need you at the helm firing broadsides at the sunshiners whenever they get overly optimistic. With all the areas of concern, I predict it will be a banner year for the VC.

10) Can you stomach another year of Posada?

1)Yes...Although you can make the case that The Yankees and Sox are close to a push. Either way the Jays and Wild Card teams have to watch both.

2)Yes. The Angels, Both Sox, The Yankees, and Cleveland to me are all pretty close with NY, LA, and Boston the most likely 1-3.

3)Right now not really, but I long for the ALDSs against Texas where i could relax. September might be a little nerve racking this year with Cleveland and Oakland improving so much.

4)Only of Garden Noams

5)18-8 with slightly better overall numbers than last year. He'll piss us off with the long ball here and there, but overall pretty good.

6)I think Cash did fine this winter and I'm glad he's in full control now. I'm glad he kept all the young guys for deadline moves and showed patience with the FA he was talking too.

7)Ugh, 10-8 with a 4.15 at best.

9)I'd be extreemly shocked if the Jays finished ahead of us, not that I don't think they'll do well.

10)After really looking at Molina's stats(I thought he was a huge improvement) I found out he's a really overrated hitter. When you look at the alternatives they still don't compare offensively and I can live with the sup par defense.

On edit, i thought it said AL east for #1. The Angels are probably that team this year for the AL. Infact in my mind they are for sure.

If RJ and Mussina were still reliable aces, even I'd have to admit that we'd be top dogs on paper, but that's just not the case. We don't have a shut down starter, and once again, that will be our down fall.

Few teams really do though. If you take the term #1 starter seriously and base it on league wide starters then Johnson is still one of them. He isn't a Santana, Halladay, Peavy, Clemens, Zambrano, Prior, Oswalt or Harden, but he's up there in the Colon, Pedro, Smoltz, Becket, Hudson, Willis range. All things considered he out pitched Clemens if you compair the first year here for both guys.

Mussina will be confusing and annoying the whole year.

1. No, the ChiSox are.

2. Yes. They're a top

3. A little

4. No

5. Bounce back

6. No. Left with a sh*t bench and a sh*t DH

7. About 13 wins

8. Is that a question?

9. Yes.

10. You think this year will be bad just wait untill 2007.

1) Are the Yankees still the team to beat in the AL?

Clearly the White Sox

2) Are the Yankees a top 7 Team in all MLB anymore?

Yes - suspect pitching, powerful offense - still better than most

3) Are you nervous?

Nervous is probably too strong a word - concerned

4) Are you scared?

:please:

5) Randy Johnson : bounce back year? or same crap as last season?

I see more of the same - some great, some crap

6) Did Cashman do enough this winter?

Yes - but he'd better be prepared to do enough during the season

7) Carl Pavano - he will be a pleasant surprise and go about 14-6 OR Carl Pavano isn't worth the toilet paper you wipe your ass with.

Tough one - I'm willing to give him a chance - hopefully he's better than the ass tearing stuff they have at the office.

8) 2006 is basically going to be Summer Of Excitement - Part Deux b/c we're no longer that good - it's gonna be a scratch and claw season from Game 1.

Agreed

9) Would you really be shocked if the Yanks finish 3rd in the division?

Yes - people are overhyping the Jays

10) Can you stomach another year of Posada?

:crybaby:

1. No

2. Yes

3. Don't Get Nervous Until October

4. Scared? No. Not until Beckett and Schilling are proving they're healthy and dominant.

5. A bit of a bounce back. Maybe never what he was in AZ, but I think he bests last year and we trust him moreso.

6. Don't like not having a DH aside from Phillips and Bernie and Farnsworth being the main setup guy, but I think he gave us the best he could

7. Probably will be mediocre and not nearly worth the money, but hopefully he still has trade value come next off-season. He's got one more chance IMO

8. Huh?

9. No, I don't see both Toronto and Boston surpassing them

10. I've hated Posada since before his detoriation, so obviously I can't/

1) Are the Yankees still the team to beat in the AL?
No, the White Sox are, the Yankees haven't honestly been the team to beat since the start of the '04 season.

2) Are the Yankees a top 7 Team in all MLB anymore?
Without a doubt. Probably 3rd best team in AL and we know the AL is much stronger then what the NL has to offer now.

3) Are you nervous? Always

4) Are you scared? Never scared

5) Randy Johnson : bounce back year? or same crap as last season? Bounce back

6) Did Cashman do enough this winter? No, I'm not thrilled with the bench and DH and I don't think Farnsworth was a great move but I was sick of Gordon.

7) Carl Pavano - he will be a pleasant surprise and go about 14-6 OR Carl Pavano isn't worth the toilet paper you wipe your ass with. He's a cum rag!!!!

8) 2006 is basically going to be Summer Of Excitement - Part Deux b/c we're no longer that good - it's gonna be a scratch and claw season from Game 1. I think it will be close, but I don't think we will start off as bad as we did last year.

9) Would you really be shocked if the Yanks finish 3rd in the division? Yes

10) Can you stomach another year of Posada? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've wanted him off my teams for the last few years now.
