I don't get how he's totally useless though with that glove. I think the problem is Minnesota took a flyer on him hoping for an offensive boost, and the Mets are probably looking for offense as well. At this point, treat him like a gold-glove 2B that anything he offers offensively is a bonus. I guess the problem with that is most these teams that could use a 2B probably need at least SOME offense. Him batting 8th with a .310 OBP in the NL is probably a bit of a problem. |

Actually the Mets are going to start the one that plays defense the best, while some offense could be needed from 2B, it isn't mandatory |

Well, in terms of defensive abilities, very few have the range and hands of Bret Boone. He did retire today, so it doesn't matter now. |

I’m guessing that unlike Giambi the mofo didn’t rigorously work out so he will hit like sh*t. With him hitting like sh*t everyone will be saying this mofo without the roids sucks big time. He’s an f*cking joke. So he retired to avoid the embarrassment. |
