He wants to be NL Cy Young. I won't bet against this guy. Just felt like commenting on it.

This guy is a beast. I saw him after a Yankee/Cub game when he walked up to the barricade by the player's parking lot, and he is huge. He could be the middle linebacker for the Giants. He's probably still huge, even after losing 15-20 pounds.

Wouldn't you have liked to seen him and Bonds go at it? Bonds was pissed with him for showing him up after K'ing him with the bases loaded and Zambrano was jumping around like Game 7 of the World Series. Zambrano's still athletic even when he's a fat ass. I saw him put one near 400 FT to ruin a Roy Oswalt shutout. He's a legitimate switch-hitter. Great athlete. If he only composed himself better and didn't show up batters, I'd like him even more. He's one of the first guys you'd want on the mound in a big game based on stuff; one of the last based on composure

I heard he was real skinny, as WGN says, when he came to the states, but after the signing bonus, he got addicted to Burger King. Certainly didn't hurt his stuff.

I remember when I heard he was going to be the best out of the three in chicago...I laughed

That's alright. At the time, predicting any young pitcher to be better than Prior in the future was a bit of a reach. He was owning on just a fastball and curve, locating wherever he wanted, sound mechanics, legs like a tree trunk, seasoned, and mature beyond his years. Anyone that knew pitching just assumed he'd get even better and perfect a changeup and basically clean up the Cy Young awards until about 2015.

Didn't Prior's agent tell Minnesota that they couldn't afford him? They were a dick for money purposes, I know that. I can't imagine the Twins taking Mauer despite his Minnesota connections if Prior didn't price himself out of their range. Imagine Prior and Santana anchoring a rotation?
