The exact date in 2001 would be the game the Yankees blew a lead to the Mets, culminated with Carlos Almanzar being left in to face Mike Piazza. I was in an apartment building at the time, and I had to be restrained I was so furious as Piazza's ball sailed into the air, as I screamed "HE LEFT HIM IN!!!!!" He still owes me a personal explanation for that retarded move. Hell, I still can get worked up thinking of it. My hatred for Torre reached a climax at that point, and I needed some place to vent and not lose my mind screaming at the TV. There was a poster at the time, YankeeBill, that always would nail the hammer right on the head, and I just started posting regularly to read his sh*t. I kissed his ass like I do Strider and wish YankeeBill was still around. Despite people being on his case since he was negative during a time of positivity, he was articulate and you knew he knew the game of baseball well. It was good to know there were people out there noticing the same things and articulating them beautifully. You also gotta remember it was a period of prosparity, so people were kissing ass regardless of who, and nobody questioned Torre. It was frustrating, considering how dumb Torre really is as a manager, to see him never get flack. |

Man, I went over to MSG just to see if YankeeBill's presence is still there. He doesn't post often and hasn't in awhile, but this one is good and symbolizes the guy. He's great. If any guys here are on MSG still, message him and see if you can get him here. YankeeBill |

All that guy does is rip on Torre because he is friends with Arthur Richman and Richman doesn't like Torre anymore, even though he's the one who recommended Torre to George. Sometimes his points make sense when Torre makes a bad move, but it's his whole act. I think I started on MSG during the playoffs in 2001, but didn't start posting myself until the postseason ended. |

I'm been trying to get him here but the powers that be here refuse to contact him. I first posted at MSG in late July of 2001. |

Remember when MSG during a Yankee broadcast used to come into the board and mention a post or two on the air? That's when the server got loaded and none of the regulars could get in like usual |

Yankeebill is a douchebag, hence BC wants him here. It was some time during the Summer of 2001. |

Explain why YB is a douchebag. Reading over his posts, he does seem to be simplistic with a bunch of his posts, stuff that just seems ****y and not necessary, but we all do that once in awhile, but overall, when he gets going and types a lot, he articulates his case well. He bashes Torre a lot, but I like that, since those that defend Torre usually have less concept of the facts. He isn't saying anything wrong about Torre from what I've read. He's funny too. He's got a knack for those posts that get you seriously laughing. We can always use humor. |

He's snotty, he's a bore, he brings nothing to the table. All he talks about is green tea. I could give you more ammo, but it's been years since he posted regularly. |

I would say he's a cross of RicFlair4Life with Strider. He can be over the top and say stuff that you can infer is for reaction, but he's articulate and funny. He's not on Strider's level. Snotty? I'd have to further look, but it seemed he was getting attacked and not doing the attacking when I remember him. He's snotty towards Torre that's for sure, but we all are when we're on here complaining about the game. Yeah, I think so, BC. Anyone remember 1379 or something like that? He argued all the time that he was a writer and that Miguel Tejada was a better SS than Derek Jeter. At the time, it wasn't an easy case to be made, since Tejada was just a slugger. He actually stopped posting and never returned from what I remember after people got on him enough. Had he just held out longer, he could have been boasting. |

August of 2001. That was a fun summer and finding MSG was icing. I was listening to a game on the radio and Sterling was plugging the MSG poll. It was an interesting question and I wanted to chime in so I went to MSG.com and after enough searching, found MSGNetwork and the message board. My first post was "Who do you think will replace O'Niell in RF?" Most of my posts for the first few weeks were basic questions and crap. I always say this: I give credit to Zielerules for letting me know it was OK to break out of the shell. Them silly posts got me laughing and brought out the "me" in Strider. Then the jokes and 3rd person talking came in. And the rest is history in the making. |

I was knocking Yankees on the board when all you savage cats were cuddling with your cabbage patch. Who you think brought you the concept of bashing Torre, the BC, and Yankfan03Posted Image |

Well, in my defense, up until summer 2001 I was far too busy drinking and getting laid in college to make up silly nicknames for guys who don't advance a runner in mid-May. So, ya know. |

The one in the front with the skullet is really doing it for me. Rarely do you see that on a female. Resembles the dude from Poltergeist a little. Posted Image |

Was it YankeeBill that battled him over that? He definitely got a lot of heat for it. I didn't mind it much, but at the time, you really didn't have a case for Tejada. He wasn't saying for the future either; he was saying right then and now Tejada was better. I honestly have no exact idea about the date of that feud, but I'm thinking it was August of 2001. |
