CINCINNATI -- Adam Dunn agreed to a two-year, $18.5 million deal Monday, four days before he and the Cincinnati Reds were scheduled for an arbitration hearing.

Dunn got salaries of $7.5 million for this season and $10.5 million for 2007. The club has an option for a $13 million salary in 2008, which it can buy out for $500,000.

Damn, the donkey is loaded. It's hard to deny he's a premier slugger, but that average and strikeouts has to hurt. I'd wonder how they would be able to decide his case in arbitration. I mean, his HR, RBI, and OBP are elite or top caliber, but then some pitchers got him in BA and those strikeouts are ridiculous. Nobody really compares to him for arbitration./
