I just saw my first season 6 commercial for The Sopranos. When it arrives in March 2006, it will have been 2 full years between episodes. In that time David Chase came up with more than his usual 13 episodes. Word on the street is a normal length season all in a row, then a break until January or so, at which time they will air an additional 6 episodes. It's likely to be considered one season for technical and DVD purposes and it is no longer definitely the last season. It's still over 3 months away, but it's getting close, and seeing the commercial has me fired up. Another word on the street is that there might be a 2 year lapse in time on the show, similar to how long it has been gone. Of course everything is very secretive with David Chase, which is how it should be, so things out there could be rumors. This thread will be the new home for all new Sopranos talk. Good things. |

I think we can get a good read on how things will play out with some of the cast for various episodes. I'm checking the cast on IMDB for various episodes. Phil Leotardo must go bye bye by the 5th episode "Mr. and Mrs. Sacramoni Request" because he doesn't appear afterwards. Sounds like a wedding hit from the cast. Interesting stuff going on IMDB. Nurses and Drs are involved in most of the early episodes too. "Live Free or Die" sounds like it's got lots of hits. Someone might be going to a Mental Hospital in "The Ride" which is the second to last episode of the season. This is what I found. I wonder if the finale is seperate, since usually when it's completed, IMDB has it listed. I wonder if another season is a decoy Season 6 Season 6, Episode 1: Members Only 12 March 2006 Season 6, Episode 2: Join the Club 19 March 2006 Season 6, Episode 4: The Fleshy Part of the Thigh 2 April 2006 Season 6, Episode 5: Mr. and Mrs. Sacramoni Request 9 April 2006 Season 6, Episode 6: Live Free or Die 16 April 2006 Season 6, Episode 7: Luxury Lounge 23 April 2006 Season 6, Episode 8: Johnny Cakes 30 April 2006 Season 6, Episode 9: The Ride 7 May 2006 Season 6, Episode 10: Moe and Joe ???? |

I honestly never watched The Sopranos, I'd occasionally catch parts of it when they'd be rerunning an episode, but never made it one of my "shows to watch." I did, however, watch two full episodes recently, one was when Meadow got engaged and some guy had just gotten out of prison (don't remember his name) and the second one I saw, Sunday night actually, was when Tony's sister beat up another woman at a soccer game and him and two other guys went up to his uncle's house or something......I don't know much about the show at all, and I'm not sure if these two episodes are like really recent or from a few years ago. Seems like a really awesome show, I may try to catch it more often. I caught some of Deadwood the other night too; that seems cool as well. |

As I said in another thread, I don't particularly fancy Hispanic women. I can't explain the difference between Italian and Hispanic, and it's ironic she's cast as Tony's daughter, but I can just see it. I'm just not a fan. I don't expect anyone to agree
That is true |

You should start with season 1. It develops a lot of the characters that are with the show long-term. The ones you caught are from last season. Deadwood is cool. Has anyone heard if it will be back for a 3rd season? My dad got me into it right before season 2. I was able to catch up on the 1st season before it started up. |

It depends on what you, and actually David Chase, considers another season. The plan is 12 episodes starting next month, then 10 additional episodes to rap up the series in January 2007. They supposedly haven't decided if it will be considered a 20 episode season (they're usually 13 each) or two seasons. Chase has promised those 10 will be the last. They were only supposed to do 13, but the 2 year layoff allowed for more ideas. I am pretty sure all 20 are being filmed at once. |

Another reason Deadwood caught my eye is that I like Tim Olyphant. Good actor. |

The funny thing is I didn't even realize it was him at first with the western garb and old school mustache. He's really good in Deadwood and he obviously plays a scumbag well in movies (Go! and The Girl Next Door). |

Have you seen "Go!"? It came out first. He plays a drug dealer and has a similar look going. |

I don't know how to explain it. But I mean, I saw it when I watched that show that she wasn't really Italian, so I do have a reason to notice the differences between Hispanic and Italian. |
