i gotta side with floydnbunch on this. i dig the harry potter books and movies. i mean, i'm not going to go to any conventions or anything, but i've read all the books, look forward to the movies being released at the theatres and coming out on dvd. i wanted to see this thursday night at midnight, but my girl wasn't down with it, since she's sick. i'll probably see it next tuesday. i heard it was pretty good |

in a way, the book is something a kid can grow up with, since the subject matter, although always dark, gradually gets more mature with each year and the endings become darker and darker. the first 3, they ended in the kiddest, happy ending, no harm done. the next 3 have ended in heartbreak and tragedy. it's really a story about coming of age. the stories don't flow without all the other books, so it really hasn't run it's course either |

I don't know, I went to see it because I had nothing else to do and my friend was like, yo, lets go see a movie, and we saw that and it was okay, we agreed that it was "cheesy". |

i really enjoyed the book, since it was the longest and kept me the most interested. i hope they didn't ruin it too badly. the original idea was to make it a two part movie, seeing how the book was considerably longer than the first three. yet, they decided to just cut a lot of subplots and make it the same length as the original 3. |

the movie was good. although i must say, i think it's better to watch the movies before reading the books. knowing the direction the movie was heading didn't make it as enjoyable, especially the lack of detail. when you read a book, you got pages and pages for detail. you only have so many minutes for a movie |
