Stop it with this guy. Hopefully that injury will keep the Yankees away from him. I'm all for getting another catcher so Jorge's 2007 option doesn't kick in next year, but screw this Jojima guy.

YOU KNOW. BEING A PITCHER WOULD BE THE HARDEST POSITION TO PLAY COMING OVER FROM JAPAN IF YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT. PITCHERS HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET HITTERS OUT IF THEY DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. IF I WENT OVER TO JAPAN, I WOULDNT KNOW DICK ABOUT THE WEAKNESSES OF THEIR HITTERS. THEN AGAIN, IT SEEMS NEITHER THE YANKEE PITCHERS, SCOUTS, OR CATCHERS HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT AN OPPOSING HITTER'S WEAKNESSES ARE. SETTING UP INSIDE TO GARRET ANDERSON FOR A FASTBALL WHEN EVERY FASTBALL HE WAS THROWING WAS STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW. f*cking SICKENING. I TOLD EVERYONE FLAHERTY ISNT A GOOD CATCHER. ITS JUST POSADAS SO BAD, YOU THINK HE IS

Then why were pitchers the first to come over here? A simple scouting report of where they like it and where they don't would suffice if you have the stuff to pitch here. Catcher is the toughest position for guys that speak English because they have to know those scouting reports and communicate that to the pitcher. Let alone a guy who doesn't know the language. No thanks.

I don't care who we get, just get that a-hole Posada as far away from here as possible. That whore hasn't done sh*t in the playoffs in years.

IT WORKS BOTH WAYS. ON A YOUNG TEAM, YOU NEED A VETERAN CATCHER TO WORK THE PITCHING STAFF IN, I BELIEVE. ON A TEAM THAT HAS EXPERIENCED PITCHING, YOU CAN USE A YOUNG GUY. LOOK AT THE CARDS, BEST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE. THEY HAD YADIER MOLINA, ESSENTIALLY A ROOKIE CATCHING THEM. PEOPLE WERE ACTUALLY ARGUING THAT HAVING AN INEXPERIENCED CATCHER LIKE MOLINA CATCHING WAS GOING TO BE THEIR DOWNFALL. HARDLY. DO YOU SEE WHO JOHN SMOLTZ PERSONAL CATCHER IS AND HOW YOUNG HE IS? THE PITCHERS SHOULD KNOW HOW TO FACE THEIR OPPOSITION, AND SO SHOULD THE CATCHERS. BUT IF YOU'RE ASKING ME WHICH ONE SHOULD BE WISER ABOUT THE OPPOSITION, IT'S THE ONE THROWING THE BALL WHO HAS THE ULTIMATE DECISION OF WHAT HE WANTS TO THROW. PLUS, CATCHERS ARE IN GENERAL SMART AND PICK UP THE GAME BETTER THAN ANYONE. IF THIS GUY IN JAPAN IS INTELLIGENT AND GOOD DEFENSIVELY, HE'LL GAIN THE PITCHERS TRUST. WE'RE TALKING ABOUT ANYONE VERSUS JORGE POSADA. THAT ISN'T MUCH OF A COMPETITION, ESPECIALLY WHEN POSADA NO LONGER PADS HIS STATS AT THE PLATE ANYMORE
