Cardinals lead 2-0 in the 3rd. Solo HR by Jim Edmonds, and the Cards just scored again on a bases loaded Wild Pitch by Peavy.

They just walked Walker, Bases re-loaded for the Cards.

2 RBI single for Sanders!! Cards lead 4-0.

Peavy looks like sh*t, another overrated NL Pitcher. He's facing an AL-like lineup and is shitting his pants.

Silliness. Try watching him in more than one game before declaring him overrated. He's the real deal and should keep getting better since he's only 24.

Put him in the AL and he's Kevin Appier. :agent:

Kevin Appier used to be pretty good early on, but silliness squared, nevertheless.

He's NL Trash, look at the ballpark and f*cking division he's been pitching in! No team in that division can hit, besides the Rockies at home, and even still they suck.

He's nothing more than a #2-#3 pitcher. :peace:

The Cards now lead 8-0 in the 5th on a Grand Slam by Sanders!!

Wow, Peavy really shat himself in his first important start. The Real Deal, indeed. :smirk:

Did Clemens struggling early in his postseason career mean he was overrated trash?

I know Clemens, I watched him pitch. Jake Peavy is no Clemens.

I think you get my point. I didn't mean Peavy will win 340 games and 7 Cy Youngs.

Has there been any changes in the score?

It would also be much appreciated if someone could provide updates on the first hour or two of the Boston/Chicago game.

Did he make 4 other pitching changes before bringing in Izzy? Our short-time former buddy Al Reyes is a key injury for them. He did well as one of their setup men this year.

what makes peavy special is guts and not being dependent on any single pitch like most strikeout pitchers. he came up small, no doubt about that though
