Did he just a hit a 5-run HR or something? Oh wait, did he actually play the field tonight?

Well then you seem to know jack sh*t about baseball. Even Yankee fans are giving you the :-| face.

You guys are penalizing Ortiz for being a DH, thats a position, so he doesnt play the field. I dont think people are saying "Arod is the MVP" due to his glove, I mean its not a bad glove. but batting is what we are talking about. Ortiz has had more big game, late inning homers and clutch hits in the past year and a half, then alot of people have in a lifetime

Giambis #s would have been better if he was able to play at this level throughout the year

In fairness A-Rod has saved a ton of runs with his glove.

I'm sorry but as much as I've bashed A Rod ( Poolboy) he's the MVP, that glove is just SICK at 3B, it's not average, it's SICK!!!! That glove and that arm is awesome, he's my MVP without a doubt (RIGHT NOW) This weekend can change things either way of course, but RIGHT NOW, it's AROD.

ARod. He's really stepped it up in September when it matters a ton, so that can't be used against him at this point. This whole weekend with the Red Sox will determine the MVP though. It will most likely be whoever's team wins.

I'd say his glove is a little bit better than "not bad."

In that case Arod is getting the MVP, even though Ortiz should.

I don't want to hear about A-Rod's bat and glove make him more valuable than Ortiz. He's been good, but in a big spot, A-Rod isn't the first guy I want up. I'd take Ortiz first, Matsui second, Ramirez third, Sheffield 4th.

Ortiz is the best clutch hitter in the game today, he's hit 20 homers to either tie or give the red sox the lead, he's hitting well over .300 with risp, DH or not he is the AL mvp, there's no doubt about it in my mind!!!

WTF? Sheffield is a better clutch hitter than Manny. His numbers with RISP is through the roof. He's 2nd or 3rd, IMO.

ortiz should win mvp, but i won't cry or argue about if a-rod wins. both are unique in their own ways. a-rod is unique in that he can actually run and play a damn good third base while putting up gaudy statistics and historical in the sense that no yankee right-handed hitter has done what he did this year. ortiz is unique in that his knack for the clutch is unrivaled by anyone in the american league, and thus his contributions to his team's wins are unmatched.
