Both are corner OF's that can play some IF. Both are relatively young in terms of ML experience. The numbers I'm giving you are their numbers in their biggest years. Player A has had about 90 more ML AB's in prior years and Player B has had about 50 more ML AB's in prior years. Nothing scientific here obviously. Obviously some other stats were left out for some reasons, but based on what I gave you, who would you rather have. Player A 270AB/.267AVG/.337OBP/13HR/34RBI/15Doubles/2Triples/28BB/61SO Player B 265AB/.257AVG/.328OBP/11HR/37RBI/17Doubles/3Triples/28BB/78SO |

Both are pretty much identical, I like player B with more doubles, RBIs, and triples, but like I said the numbers are practically identical |

I think most can figure out who player B is, but I will give the names of both players once a few more votes come in. |

Player A = Eric Valent Player B = Victor Diaz That makes Mr. Sunshine's "Player A hands down" a little silly, but what else is new. I'd take the upside of Diaz before Valent any day of the week. Valent topped out last year. While Diaz is weak in the field, he could become a good hitter. |

It makes the whole concept a little silly. Valent is a career utilty player with a large hole in his swing that has prevented him from being an every day player. Servicvable guy. Diaz is a young player with "upside" that can bring alot back in terms of a trade. One guy has been in the league for 1 season the other for 5 or 6. What is there to compare? |

Is Eric Valent still alive? Amazing how he went from primary pinch-hitter to buried in AAA below Gerald Williams. |

i knew what who they were when i said it and at this point for one season i would take valent over diaz. But in two to three years, diaz willh have cut down on ks and learning to make better pitch selection and he will be a great player. |
