At the beginning of the year I thought they were the 2nd best team in the NL behind St. Louis and they will not even make the playoffs. Their lineup is solid with speed at the top and some damn good hitters throughout the lineup. Add that to those three young stud starters and Mota in the bp I thought they could win it all. Now I know they had some injuries, but so does every team. But I think it’s that 98 year old manager they have. He won a WS with them two years back but he’s older then George Washington. He brings Paul Quantrill in with the Marlins WC hopes fading fast. I blasted Dumbo this year but Dumbo doesn’t have the players the Marlin’s do. Maybe they just don’t have the capital to make the mid-season moves that would straighten out the weak spots? One thing for sure, Miami does not deserve that team. They should get the f*ck out of that Stadium and that state. |
