-- John Abraham to Start --

The Star Ledger reports Jets DE John Abraham, who sat out most of training camp in a contract dispute, will return to the starting lineup Sunday against Miami at the Meadowlands. Abraham, who came off the bench last week against the Chiefs, had a sack, forced a holding call and had a tackle for a 5-yard loss. He just missed another sack and looked quick off the ball in 34 plays. "I knew at one point I was going to be starting," Abraham said yesterday. "As I said, I came in prepared to play. I think I could've started the first game if I needed to.

This is EXCELLENT news...He has gained 10 pounds to better his rush-stopping ability and he is still just as fast...Bryan Thomas further proves he is a huge bust...Has the entire camp, Abraham has barely any camp at all...And Thomas gets beat out already for a guy who isn't even fully conditioned...

And when he's in their he makes the entire defense better...260+ pounds still running 4.5ish speed is good enough for me...

Again, Abraham, when healthy, is one of the top 5 difference makers in the NFL. Dont call me a homer. he makes a good defense great. We were good in the playoffs, but with Abraham, maybe we totally shut out big ben and co.

Hes still a bitch though.

He is probably only 2nd to freeny when healthy but since he's never healthy I would take a a lot of other pass rushing RE's over him.

I dont get NFL numbers anymore. Techically Abraham plays both DE and LB (In 3-4 sets) so maybe the NFL let him take 56 (For his birthday)
