Today, needless to say...Was pitiful.

Both sides of the ball were atrocious! The offensive line I have never seen look this bad in a couple years, Fabini is on his last legs in terms of being the LT of this team, he needs to play RT...The blitz was just killing this OLine, and the run game was worse...I'm not going to fault Martin alot because their was nowhere to run for the most part, but he actually looked OLD. Yes he has accomplished alot after age 30, but today even when their was a small hole that burst was just not there...Pennington and Mawae had some major f*ckups...Pennington did make a nice play on one of his fumbles by passing it to Martin, but you have to just fall on the ball, just ugh. The shotgun? Well, we didn't get to see it used that well . The drops by Coles were horrible, even down 17-0, the slant drop could of been big, at least give the team some life and sh*t ya know? The second one was all on Chad, their wasnt a DB within 10 yards of Coles yet Chad throws it to the sideline, whatever. McCareins had a drop over the middle which would of resulted in a 1st down but later that drive made up for it by getting it back...

Their were only two bright spots on the offensive side of the ball, none of which can be a confidence builder...

1. Chris Baker finally showing he can be a pass-catching TE with some very nice grabs and breaking defenses very handidly. He is looking to be a real nice weapon over the middle...

2. Chad Pennington taking hit after hit after hit and continuing to get back in the huddle and stay playing. One where I believe Greg Wesley stuck his helmet in the back of Penny's neck to where he stayed down I thought it was over with, but he got back up and kept going. That is very good to know...

Now the defense...

Granit, KC has the best OLine in football and a Pro-Bowl FB in Tony Richardson, but damn it was bad. The toss plays killed the Jets, something I thought would favor the Jets considering the speed they have in Vilma,Barton and Abraham, but no...And don't even tell me Jason Ferguson would of made a difference, because over 100 of the Chiefs rushing yards came on toss plays, they did have some runs up the middle but none to the extent of the toss plays...David Barrett? I love the guy, a solid hard nosed player, but damn bro, why not just line up 25 yards off the WR next time? Because that's pretty much all that happened against Barrett...His missed tackle on Holmes TD also sticks in my head, but his coverage was not even average. He had to have been expecting this considering he is going to get targeted with the pickup of Law, which leads me to him...He played very well, Ty. His tackling was good, he did give up a few plays but for the most part manned down his guy, his INT was very nice...Kerry Rhodes did OK, he made 10 tackles but Tony Gonzalez owned him, no suprise there...

The positves for the defense? John Abraham getting his reps, alot of hurries, had a sack...And Ty Law playing pretty much the whole game.

Just a plain out horrible game, and this team expects to beat New England? They better turn sh*t around fast. I know it's only 1 week, on the road, but still...They were just flat the whole game, no life in them at all, it's as if they expected to go in their playing average and coming out with a win. They have alot of sh*t to figure out, most notably the offensive line leading up to their home opener...

Special Teams - Average...Ben Graham looked good, didn't let Hall do anything...Justin Miller had a real nice KR...Mike Nugent f*cked up badly, his 1st career kick so we'll see...

This team better shape up and beat Miami next week...Or it will be a long season

Yeah man. They totally just looked flat. You know though, they were like this in the beginning of 02, but they won the first game, and it set them back even further because they thought theyd get away with it. Hopefully getting their ass kicked right away helps them out in the long run, because it can (see patriots of 03)

but still that was bad. real bad. Ty Law had an INT which was sweet.

I can't bitch too much, because I didn't see the game up here in Buffalo country (they never show Jets games), but I guess it's a good thing that I missed. Saw the score was 27-7, and from the posts in this thread, sounds like it was pretty ugly. Too bad, I was hoping we'd do something this year. Oh well, I guess I can just say this to this year's team... :fyou:

Well, I'm going to school here at Brockport so I guess you could say I live here. Though my real home is back in Saratoga.

Either way you still get snow up to your ass. I was offered work in Rochester and in Buffalo and I turned them both down because it is to damn cold in the winter and I hate the cold and the snow. I don’t want to trade in my Maxima for a team of Huskies (not the U Conn. ones but real dogs) and a sled.
